  1. Well, I have tracked my S1, and have found it to handle very good. There's a Yellow Caterham that I have seen at the auto-x, that is fast as hell and handles great.I have seen old Lotus Super 7's mop up their class . So, I think you have many good cars to choose that have a GREAT Suspension. Have fun Looking !! Steve:7fume:
  2. Finally got around to a fill up, $4.28 for 93. Worth it on a day like today!! Steve Novelli
  3. Al, If you are that 7 friendly, you can drive my S1. Take me up on it, not something I say, let alone write very often. Then I'll sweet talk Bob D. into swapping rides someday. Happy Holiday, Steve Novelli
  4. Hi Hal, It was good to meet you last weekend. Made your 7 my new screen-saver. Did you ask your engine builder about the injector problem ? I think it's a easy fix, you will enjoy it running on all four. If I had one I would have sent it to you, never had engine problems. Sorry I can't make it on Sat., pool, lawn and all that stuff are calling. Best of luck, you'll get it fixed, you have done a great job on that 7, I really like it. Happy Holiday, Steve Novelli
  5. Avery, I"m not sure what you mean by "parts. Zetec engine parts can be had everwhere. Trans parts, UK Rear end is a Toyota light weight truck rear. I have bought my S1 new in 02, it has 11000 miles on it ,and there has been no need for body parts. As far as I know if you needed body parts, Superformance has them or can have them made at the factory. But I always have that thought in the back of my head, and don't want to find out the hard way, that a body part can't be made or found. It is a point to be thinking about. I try not to hit anything hard or be hit. I just bought a wind shield frame, only because it was a brand new piece and it was cheap. These S1's are VERY WELL BUILT, strong, mine is not falling apart, and I keep a close eye on it, which needs to be done on ANY 7 you may wind up getting. Oh, did I say they are BEAUTIFUL !!!! Good luck, look close at what you buy, and drive anything you can get your hands on !! Stevehttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/546101970_Dogs , Baby and The S1 019.jpg

Thanks to all that were at Carlisle, I enjoyed meeting all of you,Safe trip Home, Steve Novelli
  7. Hi, My wife asked the same question about MPG on the way to the Jersey shore a few years ago. My reply was " Good I guess". She did the math, and I filled it back up and she said, " WOW, 31 mpg on the highway, thats great".My normal drives are back roads, and I like to push the loud pedal, so less MPG and more fun. Steve :7fume:
  8. Bob, Are you going to use the lights on your 7 for the brakes turn signals and running lights. I would be wary of someone running into the back of it, even with the lights working on the 7.4000 miles of flat towing is going to be hard on it. Hope it goes OK for you, see you on May 17. Steve
  9. Hi Everyone, I see I missed all the fun on Sunday,I was laid up on the beach in Cancun. Our man Roman called me and said he really enjoyed his first autox.Tom is pointing him in the right direction and he is HOOKED.I'll try to get out for the next, and join in on the fun. Well Done Roman and Tom. Steve:cheers:
  10. Hi Mazda, I like the way you tied in the center of the frame with the hoops. Looks like it will be strong and safe. I also like the first photo with that V8 out front. Gives it that " No Bullshit Look ". Keep hammering away !! Steve:cheers:
  11. Hi Mazda, Thanks for fixing up the site , it looks good. Steve

  13. Hi Bob, This is good stuff, now I don't have to fix my fuel leak. I'll just take out the gas tank and put it out with the trash. Steve
  14. Hi, Went for a drive this morning with the top off , went well until a fuel leak. AAA was called to tow me home . AAA ask me to call the local fire company, towing company would not put it on the flat bed unless the fire company was on stand bye. Then the police came, Fun was had by all.http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1961456497_Easter Break down 003.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1004566343_Easter Break down 005.jpg I think the gas tank has a big crack in it. Ah, the joys of ownership. Happy Easter, Steve PS, Yes that's the local fire men giving me the " Your number one Steve" Sign
  15. Dennis, Two very good cars. Good luck with what ever you get. :7drive: Steve
  16. Hi Dennis, I happen to have a S1 sitting in the garage waiting for the nice weather. I was going to sell it , but with the nice weather coming , that's not going to happen. The silver S1 has been for sale for a few month's. They had a cool green and yellow one for sale but it was sold quickly. Thinking about getting one?????? They are great cars. Steve
  17. Hi All, Starting this season, a standard ECU, built by McLaren , must be used by ALL teams. And driver aids are a thing of the past. All the F1 people claim that the cars will be harder to drive, but the races will be better. Time will tell, Sucks no Indy this year, Thanks to Bernie Eccelstone. Happy Easter, Steve
  18. Skip, Good stuff, looks like you had the place to yourself. Thats a kick-butt 7 you have . Steve
  19. Hi, The real fun is Tig welding stainless steel or 5% chrome and 9% chrome in 12" 525 wall. Like I did for the last 10 hours. The best advice I can give someone is , Use the correct wire. It easy to say ,Oh this will work . Not the case for 100% x-ray, when each past will get a PT test. Have fun, Steve
  20. The S1 at WireWheel has been for Sale for a month or more now. Missing parts for it's top I am told. Steve
  21. Hi Martin, Great video, Nice weather and over the top group of cars , and no CHP. Thanks for sharing !! Steve
  22. Hal, Good luck with your new engine, Looks sweet !! Steve
  23. Hi Martin, I have seen Tom drive his 7, he does it Very well. And better yet he is a good guy, never had an offer for a ride in someone's car during Timed runs, but Tom made the offer !!! And Roman took him up on it , and loved it. My car is in D-Mod, My formula ford used to be in D-Mod !!!!! Tom and Roman checking the fuel in the booster rockets !!!!!
  24. Roman, I am trying to find out if I am going to get my ass handed to me by one yellow 7 and a black one at Philly's auto-X this summer ???? :banghead: :banghead: Steve
  25. Roman, Love that vid of the rear movement, no not really. Glad you have sorted out the issues, because you have a nice seven, and I want a ride in it. See if you can get some miles on it,and shake it down I ALWAYS do a nut and bolt check, and have found things that can be deadly. Then we can run our cars out to the KIT car show and enjoy all your hard work. Does your car feel faster than Tom's? Well Done Roman, Steve :hurray:
