  1. Yep there's the rub. I don't believe it is real. I think you would need to snap a slack tow strap in order to accelerate the cloth quickly enough. maybe if they had used one of those magical accelerating Toyota Piouses :willy_nilly: m
  2. I was wondering if this could be done by a seven, preferably Bike engined :hat: http://www.maniacworld.com/BMW-Tablecloth-Trick.html m
  3. My T9 has a drain plug on the bottom. If you pull the drive shaft and raise the front with an engine hoist (pulley type) or a cherry picker it won't hesitate to drain that way either. There is a plate just behind the bell housing on my unit that has a vent tube. I fill via this opening. I use Redline MTL. The Box gets warm so I change the fluid. m
  4. Well, that's another one sorted  Alrighty then, who's next?:cooldude: Welcome to 7itis :hurray: m
  5. Washington wants some foreign blood to justify rewarding the Big Three CEOs. Toyota were stalling until they could find a suitable :dupe: to appease/apologize, then :svengo: :leaving: m
  6. I have an '01. I had to add a swirl pot and pre pump, due to poor fuel pick up when accelerating and turning left. My in-tank filter is clear. m

  8. I think that it might be a Robin Hood that has been personalized with a Brooklands screen and some interior stuff. m

    Loeb

Being an Ex Olympic gymnast evidently has a relevant bearing on motorsports I remember when he appeared in a WRC car and I thought...Pffft, what's the pretty boy gonna do? After watching him on tarmac...woooah! I was a fan. I really miss Richard Burns though m

I use a SPA dual digital oil temp/pressure gauge after the Birkin supplied oil line split and destroyed the bottom end bearings. I use a Tee coming off the block with the temp sender in one and the pressure sender remotely strapped to a chassis tube. They have been reliable for 8 years and 25k miles of use , so They owe me nothing if they fail tomorrow. m
  11. My Birkin on R comps is quite responsive to tyre pressure adjustment. If I run 2 up it has deadly understeer , so I raise the rear pressures by 1.5-2 psi to regain the neutral handling balance. You may have excessive front neg camber. The front tyres have too small a contact patch. m

  13. That was a F*******ck... moment. Maybe a power steam spray from the back side of the radiator to remove the mincemeat, followed by a couple of cans of brake cleaner. Don't inhale the fumes of the latter...Nasty stuff. m
  14. Just add some UPS stickers and you'll be the fastest UPSPilot on the road. m
  15. Replaced a fuse holder for the main power relay $3.00 Other than that, fuel. I've only done about 150 miles as my hay fever has been the worst and it's so early in the year. If this keeps up, my season will stop in august m
  16. If it is the main power supply relay,Check the routing of the wiring at the starter . Make sure the wires are not shorting out on the starter case. m
  17. My Birkin. The DMod Ex Champions Westfield when it was Nissan Powered. You Know...the red one that was recently spotted by a forum member in Omaha .It is now rotary powered. An EMod 7 that had a destroked 327 Chevy in it at the time. It had previously been a DMod car with a Porsche 911 2.0 6 cylinder. A Dmod 7 in the guise of a roadster. m

  19. A toy car. So true. Several times I've heard kids say to mom or Pops, "Hey I can drive that car!" I just laugh and think " Yeah right son. You best be learning how to wrestle a bear cub in a phone booth first, Laddie." m
  20. I have the Birkin, an E30 M3 and an E36M3. The E36 M3 is the 2nd Quickest, Fastest(with speed limiter deleted), but heaviest. The torque delivery is pleasing but the driving experience as a whole is vastly inferior to the other two due to it's mass. When you let out the clutch you can just about feel the thing trying to get motivated enough to overcome its inertia. The E30 at 2800lbs is about the limit for my preference. A better drive than the E36 due to lighter weight (500lb less), and shorter wheelbase. This car is languid and lazy on the street, but 80% of the Birkin on track in terms of handling and dynamics. A true Jeckyll and Hyde Machine. The Birkin is the quickest but slowest and lightest. I dread getting into the E36 if I'm fresh off driving this car. Every thing is dynamic. On the track the Birkin is fastest and the best to interact with. I'd drive this daily if it wasn't for the attention it gets and seasonal allergies that no medication seem to subdue. The more power you feed into a Caterham regular sized 7, the harder it gets to control. I'm at 140 crank and would be ok to 180 or so but I'd switch to a staggered wheel tyre combo for street driving. I've driven a 300 plus HP EMod se7en and frankly it was too much. I've driven a 200 HP DMod Westie and it was fine. For me, the best part of driving a car is its responses and reflexes. weight, and therefore inertia dull the dynamicism. Power with great weight is ho-hum. m

    New Lotus Evora

I watched some in car vid with Matt Becker (Lotus)driving and Richard Meaden (Drivers Republic) shotgun. The car is too noisy for what it is supposed to be. It's too noisy to be a GT. I'm afraid it will be a lame Duck, like the Europa. m
  23. It should be easy to spot the Terrorists with explosive shooz, but I'd watch out for those little dogs with tartan back warmers on. m
  24. The 7 was conceived as a Hot Rod. However, it evolved into an international Phenom, something that most other Hot Rods have failed to become. TBucket seems to have managed this somewhat, since car designers and Builders overseas, like Jeff Beck (yes, him) have made them popular. imo. m
