Circuit of The Americas (COTA) February 26-28, 2016

Even though I am not a track day junkie I would like to drive this track. Good luck. To those who don't know Mark Pfeffer he is a long time fan of Lotus and a good guy. -

Some Se7en content. Les Grandes Heures de l'automobile Montlhery France. From the oldest track in France, Montlhery built in 1924. A very bumpy banking video from a Lotus 61 camera car - Posted by 61 Type on British Speed. It looks like great fun

There is so much wrong. It is so appealing! -
Sacrifice the driver to protect the drive train?

35th annual Lotus Owners Gathering - Colorado Springs
DeanG replied to scannon's topic in National Events
Randy; I missed seeing you at LOG. It is good that you were able to make it at all. Some Se7ens, a Westifeld XI, a bad picture of the baby 7 and the biggest turbocharger I've ever seen. The turbo installation is from a P47 Thunderbolt. -
Thanks. The two tone 7S4 is the first I've seen like that. There are few series 4 cars in the USA. As to the wind deflector and door I would guess that it is the preferences of a husband and wife team

Several Interesting Cars This Past Weekend
DeanG replied to rcollum's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Bob; I didn't realize that you had your Se7en there. To me the Lotus 119B gravity racer was the coolest car there. Much more desirable than the the F40. -

Did anyone get a picture of all 3 baby Se7ens? Just got home from LOG about 30 minutes ago. -
Sorry I missed this. Saturday and Sunday were early starts. I sleeped in on Monday and went to the track to watch.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, their cars... -
Congratulations. Nice car. Next time we meet I expect to see bugs in your teeth and elbows.

35th annual Lotus Owners Gathering - Colorado Springs
DeanG replied to scannon's topic in National Events
In times past I have tried to get people together for a breakfast meet. It has generally worked well for the M100 folks (there are only a few of us). A Se7en gathering could be done. There is a lot packed into a LOG (last LOG I was still recovering from open heart surgery, it was the first time at LOG where I wasn't going 5AM-2AM). Besides the hotel's undoubtedly pricey restaurant the only thing I see that might fit the bill is New Day Cafe 5901 Delmonico Dr Colorado Springs, CO 80919. Anyone with local knowledge have any interesting and close breakfast places.\? -

We will be there in a 1991 Elan. More luggage space, it has a top and doors, AC, radio, turbo for the high altitude... It should be fun. The last Colorado LOG had several Lotus VI in attendance. The altitude took a lot of the flat head powered cars. I'm looking forward to the drive up Pike's peak. I hope to spend some time around Durango before LOG. -
Floppy wide brimmed hat in the summer or a baseball cap with a keeper. When it gets cold I wear a full face helmet.

Looks nice. Congratulations.

Should we try for another "national" scale meet on 7-7-17?
DeanG replied to Al N.'s topic in General Sevens Discussion
I am up for some kind of get together and would seriously consider helping out. If you don't have a roll bar on your Seven (I don't) most tracks won't let you do anything beyond touring laps. Our ancient beast makes anything but short blasts in good weather a less than fun experience. 12-18 hours of towing each way is about as much as I would consider doing. 777 at the Tail of the Dragon was a lot of fun. Barber is a great place. The Glenn is a great place. Black Hawk Farms is a fun track with a good Lotus community. Colorado has a good Lotus community. Both of which would most likely be willing to work with us. -
Drive now. Work on project engine over the winter.

Double return springs are needed for some track events.

Interesting. Looks like a big American Se7en to me. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2015/06/30/legendary-hot-rodder-leroi-tex-smith-dies-at-84/

I shielded the fuel line from the transmission tunnel forward. I don't know if the problem is resolved as I haven't driven in extensive heat since the fix.
