  1. Mike, Thanks. The wheels are the result of several months of research on my part as well as collaboration with Roger Kraus Racing, Keizer Wheels, and eventually, Bogart Racing. Nothing against Keizer, but Bogart won out because of Rich Bogart’s above-par willingness to work with me one-on-one in meeting my wheel needs. There wasn't a single time when we talked that he didn't treat me like I was his only customer. After committing to making the move to the larger Avon 16” slicks, Rich began working with me on ways to reduce wheel weight and decrease rotational mass. This twofold goal was met by keeping overall wheel circumference (in areas where practical) as small as possible. We settled on using 15” wheel centers and basically built 15” wheels until you get to the 16” mounting flange. Below is photo that illustrates the result. I haven't weighed the wheels yet, but I believe overall un-sprung weight will very likely end up being reduced by around 20% with respect to the heavier Summit Racing 15" wheels I've been running.

  4. Mike, They're whoppers! :ack: Avon (A11 compound) 10x23.5x16 front (10x16 wheel) and 11x23.5x16 rear (12x16 wheel).
  5. Thanks, Bill.
  6. The Bogart's arrived today.
  7. Thanks! I've been hitting RJ, and I'll give the other links a shot.
  8. I've been beating the bushes to find a 'used' trailer that I like. No dice, yet, but still looking.
  9. Another article that may be of interest; it does mention an R500: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motoring/ultima-gtr-smashes-0-100-0-world-record
  10. Very nice trailer. :iagree: But, your killing me, dawg . . . . . the pressure's on. :svengo: . . . .
  11. Man's got talent. I'm just happy to get an add-on or a mod to work out in my favor. :jester:
  12. Two fast is nearly fast enough! :jester:
  13. Sorry you're having to endure the DMV nonsense and lack of internal hand-holding. . . . :dupe: . . . :cuss: Stay the course; the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  14. I second your 2 with my 2; that's 4 cents worth, sir.
  15. Never mind the Seven (or Six)! Somebody get this man a bra!
  16. And how crossing the road resulted in poor decision making and an endless barrage of inconsequential jokes . . . . . :svengo:
  17. :iagree: . . . . . . Yep.
  18. Chris, sorry to hear. Hope you're back on the road soon.
  19. Automoda, you should re-post that photo in the following thread; it's definitely worth some commentary: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=9287 Well, Z, there you have it. You should absolutely pull air from inside the car.
  20. I think it looks stunning! :hurray: . . . . .
  21. Richard, :bigear: rumor has it that all Seven owners who are currently running Ford engines in their cars are gradually making the switch to Blue Oval nose badges. Say it ain't so, Joe!!!! :ack: But seriously, it's YOUR car . . . . do what you want. Don’t let someone else’s opinion sway you. Well, all except for mine; my opinion should count. (Sorry, just taking the opportunity to practice arrogance and snobbery . . . . . . . contemplating buying a Porsche).
  22. Paul, Without trying to sound like I'm answering for Jackel, I think the DMV detoured the last chapter, at least temporarily.
  23. John, that's a very nice photo of a great looking car.
  24. Z, FWIW, I remember talking to Dennis Brunton about the very same thing when I was first building my car. His intake was under the dash and I wanted to do the same thing, but was concerned about noise . . . his answer was the same as mine . . . . . and he was right. BTW, here are a couple of old photos of Dennis's car from 'back in the day' when it was almost complete . . . . I guess I keep everything. :hat: Anyway, notice where the intake terminates.
