  1. Okay, an update on Becker trailers. In short, Becker does not build the aluminum trailer they advertise. The trailers are actually built by a company called ATC which specializes in aluminum trailers, both spec and custom: http://www.aluminumtrailer.com/?gclid=CNCv_vyI6rwCFe87MgodKWoAwA ATC builds and sells two lines of trailers (Raven and Quest) to dealerships all over and each dealer, in turn, will slap their individual moniker on the trailer and call it theirs; such as the case with Becker. The ATC Raven line is the basic, entry-level, no frills trailer with very few options. The Quest line is pretty much an ‘anything goes’ type of trailer; you can customize to the depths of your desires and pockets. As stated, ATC also builds custom trailers, and have built a few of these for some well known companies; here’s a list taken straight from ATC’s web site: • Sunoco Racing Fuel • Oakley Sunglasses • Nissan • Ford Motor Group • Microsoft • Nabors Industries, LTD • Lockheed Martin • Jimmy Johnson • Bobby Labonte • E & J Gallow Wineries • Verizon • Farm Bureau Insurance • Applied Global Technoloies • Redbull • Golf Channel • Ferrara Fire Apparatus • Time/Warner • John Deere • Penske • Jack Roush Further research unearthed a dealer (Thibs Trailers) in Duson, LA who carries ATC trailers: http://www.thibstrailers.com/AboutUs.asp Where Becker will not easily work with me on the options I wanted, Thibs will, and for about the same money. I wanted a 7.5x16 vs. an 8.5x16, but according to Becker, this would move the price of the trailer up by a minimum of three grand. So, that meant I would go from a $8K 8.5x16 Raven to an $11K custom. Well, here is the actual quote from Thibs for a 7.5x16 Quest with the options I want:   THIB'S TRAILERS INC Phone: (800)873-4906 Fax: (337)873-3903 906 S. Price is relative. If shopping a low budget trailer, this isn’t it. If you are comparing apples to apples (aluminum trailers), ATC is extremely competitive in price (IMHO) and seems to offer a high-quality product.
  2. And yessir, I'm fairly certain it had to hurt.
  3. Tattooed te$&@#cle texting . . . . What's the world coming to?
  4. This might be the frame to one if those two tubbed Stalkers. http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=24567
  5. Found this on 'flea'bay. Had to throw it in for grins and giggles. :ack: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AIRSTREAM-VENDING-TRAILER-1-OF-A-KIND-Custom-Built-OVER-25000-invested-/181331176690?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a382e2cf2&item=181331176690&pt=RVs_Campers
  6. . . . . .
  7. In short, the way I understand it, if you have electric brakes on the trailer, the 'brake away' box is a battery-power unit that, in the event of a disconnect from the tow vehicle, sends an electric signal to the brakes on the trailer to 'brake'. . . . . so, I think.
  8. The things that make you say 'AAAAARRRRRRRRG'!!!!!! :cuss::deadhorse::cuss::rant:
  9. 20 is a bit more than what I want, but it was Backer's price that first attracted me. I'm looking at having an 8.5x16 built to spec; either by Becker or an outfit in the Dallas, TX. Dallas is closer and the trailer is cheaper, but steal construction and about 1,000 lbs heavier than the aluminum Becker. I called Becker and spoke with a fellow named Chad. Seems the trailer does have dual electric brakes; that should be in the add. I didn't ask about a brake away box.
  10. Daniel, Is there a race/performance shop near by that does modification/fabrication? What you're wanting to do isn't impossible, but the labor will be pricey for quality work. You may try contacting companies such as Quick Time, Taylor Racing, etc. These guys rub shoulders with race shops around the country and may provide the lead you need to get pointed in the right direction.
  11. . . . . . :jester:
  12. I stumbled across these guys on eBay. This add will give you an idea on price. Sans the wood floor and walls, the trailer is all aluminum. I'm thinking sweepstakes winner as well; long term, one time purchase: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390779550792?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648
  13. Narrowing my search. Anybody familiar with Becker? http://www.beckercustomtrailers.com/
  14. Not sure if these three are in another thread somewhere in this section, but just in case: 2011 Cat http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-SV-2011-Caterham-Roadsport-SV-170-/191064969831?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2c7c5c1267&item=191064969831&pt=US_Cars_Trucks 2003 Cat http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-ClubSport-2003-Caterham-Seven-ClubSport-230hp-/131112274511?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1e86e68a4f&item=131112274511&pt=US_Cars_Trucks 2004 Birkin http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-S3-S3-2004-birkin-s-3-ca-car-licensed-sb-100-dunnell-built-2-0-litre-t-9-5-speed-/321323294705?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4ad05c5ff1&item=321323294705&pt=US_Cars_Trucks This might even make the cut http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-Kougar-sport-leather-Jaguar-based-english-50s-style-roadster-4-2-XK-purpose-built-/171245809345?forcerrptr=true&hash=item27df0baec1&item=171245809345&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
  15. 7's galore!!! Comin' outta' the woodwork. Don't recognize the Storker. I'd like to take that orange Rover-powered Cat for a drive . . . . Just 'cause.
  16. Take good care of Goldie. I have a found memory of driving her (briefly) in the rain when she was almost new. If you pull the pan and check the sump, let all know what you find.
  17. wcmgoldie, After looking at the photos, I second jimrankin's motion; pull the pan and check the oil pickup. As for draining the oil initially, you should be able to simply drain it through the sensor hole. But, I have to ask (admittedly, not the least bit familiar with the Honda engine), could the sensor possibly be an oil temp sensor rather than an oil pressure sensor? It's the location of the sensor (in the pan) that has me curious.
  18. Well, I'd like to have one . . . . for all sorts of inexcusable reasons.
  19. And, Mike. Yes. ALL 'Storkers' should have wings.
  20. Mike and Tom, I'll make every attempt to heed your words of wisdom by 'hopefully' keeping the Storker on track in July.
  21. Suspension, F1? Hmmmmm. Okay, next winter.
  22. Mine are scrap yard dual tone Crown Vic; louder than my car.
  23. Goldie, Can you drain the oil via the plug you mentioned?
  24. LOL! Speechless. Simply speechless.
  25. Seriously!!!! Am I the only one that finds this thread funny? . . . don't even think about answering that. :toetap05:
