  1. Never mind the noise issue, I want a leather helmet like AndyB's!
  2. Had sixty-seventy degree highs for most of the week here in south AR . . . . . Just sayn'. Oh yeah, been sunny too.
  3. Mario sent me this photo. His Stalker has come a long way since the F-150 challenge. :smash::smash::smash:
  4. Might give this a shot: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smiths-Water-Temp-Sender-Telemetrix-International-Gauge-/360843413031
  5. Well, Steve, I thought for sure I would've gotten slammed by now. :jester:
  6. CASwede, If you do decide to replace the gauge, I might consider another electric unit; easy, clean install. I was suggesting the mechanical for testing because I think it may be cheaper than an electric gauge. Again, just a thought.
  7. This should help.
  8. CASwede, If you don't mind spending the money, purchase a 'relatively' cheap temp gauge (mechanical) from O'Reilly, Auto Zone, etc. It will come with a sending unit; hook up the gauge (outside of the car) and see what it reads. Alleviate the possibility of the problem being something other than the sending unit . . . . . just a thought. :smash:
  9. What ohm range is your sender and what is the tank material (steel, aluminum, plastic, etc.)? Also, Moss Motors might be able to help: http://www.mossmotors.com/
  10. Dingo, Thanks for the compliments. I will certainly try and deliver on the data overlay.
  11. John, I'm rubbing my head wondering what you're asking, but I hear you loud and clear.
  12. Hehe!
  13. :ack:
  14. Here's a link with a few more photos of the Bogarts and Avons. Some of these photos will give a better idea of fitment: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=25146
  15. LOL!!! The Canadians would kill for those temps. :smilielol5:
  16. Steve, Did you find a new nick name for Croc; Wrong Way! :jester: . . . . .
  17. Bill, You might try Emerald, Haltech USA or Specialist Components: http://www.emeraldm3d.com/ http://www.haltech.com/contact/contact-us/ http://www.specialist-components.co.uk/engineering/ Also, you might shoot inis (forum name on this forum) a pm. I think he's pretty savvy on the Zetec stuff.
  18. Tony, While my car is a Stalker, I do have delrin bushings in my steering column. I lubricate mine with liquid graphite. Works great: http://www.agscompany.com/lubricants/homehardware/179
  19. Well, I honestly haven't given this topic too much thought as this thread was originally pertaining to Caterham sales . . . but . . . I do know there are also several Stalker owners who do not participate in any internet forums as well, or, are very limited as to which forum/s they use and as to how often they post. I, for instance, participate more on this forum than the dedicated Yahoo Stalker forum (or, any other forum) simply because this community is broader and I enjoy chatting with guys who own various makes and models. I enjoy reading and learning about Caterhams, Westfields, Birkins, etc. . . . . and, of course . . . . Storkers. :jester: . . . . . I honestly can't remember the last time I posted anything (or even read any posts) on the Yahoo Birkins forum, or any other for that matter.
  20. Mike, Thanks on the 1K posts! And absolutely :iagree: on ALL points. It's about enjoying the journey. In all truth, I get a real kick out of simply doing mods to the car if for no other reason than just the thrill and entertainment of it all. Take the Traqmate install for instance; I promise you I'll end up using it more for video overlay than anything else because of the gee wiz factor. I just want to enjoy my car and drive it as safely and as smoothly as possible. I too do not want to get hung up on watching the clock. For me, this is more about having fun than anything else. Now, if I end up a little quicker in the process of the journey, that's okay too. Well, that's 1,001! :hurray:
  21. A long-awaited drive in a car that brings a smile to your face.
  22. That's just way too cool . . . . . why does ya-ba-da-ba-do come to mind? :jester:
  23. Maybe another time . . . I'll keep whittling away at the clock.
  24. Loren, With no data logging to confirm . . . . yet . . . . and last year being my first year EVER to get behind to the wheel on a road course, the best my car did (this is a swag based on video review) is in the neighborhood of 1:22-1:23. I drove 1:23-ish and Lance Adams (instructor/friend) drove it 1:22-ish. I think I remember you telling me you turned a 1:19 at MSRC. I know it's last-minute, but I'll be there Saturday if you could make it over. Surely with my mods and your fancy fenders I can get my times down. :jester:
  25. Yessir! . . . . . . :iagree:
