  1. Spacers on the pedal pads might work. But I like kitcat’s pillow idea. Maybe that pillow is why he is so fast. :jester:
  2. Last week, I saw a Kaiser Darrin in ‘The Vault’ of the Peterson Automotive Museum (no photos allowed). First (and only) one I’ve ever seen up close and personal. I wonder if could be the sister ship in the photo above.
  3. Using masculinity and mini van in the same...somewhere, there’s a law against such things. :jester:
  4. Car still looks awesome. Always liked the yellow/red combo.
  5. Car looks awesome. License plate is hilarious. :conehead:
  6. LOL! What’s an inspection station? Sometimes, living in AR really isn’t so bad.
  7. Per the conversation consensus: go with agreed value. I use Grundy. Very happy with theses guys.
  8. susej1981, Welcome aboard. You've hooked up with the right group for trying on 7s. I'm sure appropriate replies will soon come your way.

    LED issue

Glad you got it sorted. And I must’ve sent you the wrong link; FWIW, my Painless flasher is two prong.

    LED issue

papak, I have LEDs at all four corners and no issues. Using this from Painless: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/prf-80230?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-painless-performance&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp9OQ0I2G2gIVCztpCh1ULQ4zEAQYASABEgJ0mfD_BwE I'd suggest changing the flasher first.
  11. rich, Here’s a link to some build photos for chassis #155: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=18717 The car as priced on Craig’s List a bargain. As for driving these cars with the LS power plants; spirited. Very spirited. Will depend greatly on your level of experience/confidence and the setup of the car. Here are some YouTube links for vids of Stalkers with LS engines: My channel: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCqN3RG-eqixUAmhJrmaoshw Mario Parker channel: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCzszMMsbI3D0KvkAj0ypehQ Stalker LS3 at VIR: Stig: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC_-OX1MZIRsuI5MtVBMxpAQ
  12. That’s a ‘Croc’! :smilielol5:
  13. That’s ok. At least you didn’t call me Croc!
  14. Went back and researched what I used. The adapter came from Jegs: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/60722/10002/-1
  15. I used two pins (positioned 90 degrees from each other; one at the front of the coupler and one at the rear). Drilled through the shaft aand coupler only, not the column. If you have a column, that should be fixed to the car (holds the shaft in place). It will depend on your setup as to what you need to drill, if you go this route. I no longer have an actual column in my car, only the steering shaft which is threaded through spherical bearings...but that’s whole other discussion. Don’t want to muddy the waters. As as for the brand of adapter, I don’t recall, but it was for a Grant steering wheel. As for what you need, this will require a hub with the proper bolt pattern for the wheel you use as well as a coupler designed for the correct shaft diameter. I’d start with the shaft diameter and go from there. Shane
  16. unchris, I used a splined adapter (see photo) and hub such as the one below. The splined coupler is crossdrilled and attached to the steering shaft with heavy duty steel coil spring pins (similar to roll pins and available from McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/#roll-pins/=1c3i813). This setup has served my car since 2006. You’ll bend the steering wheel before you shear a pin. In the second photo, you can see one of the pins holding the coupler on the shaft. The advantage of pinning vs. welding; if you ever need to remove the coupler from the shaft, easily done by knocking out the pins.
  17. . . .
  18. Jefferson, Changing the subject, do you have any info on a new track being built in Texas?
  19. The good looking chap. :jester:
  20. Besides being pawed at by Croc, I don't know why all the fuss about Mighty Mike's avatar. I've met Mike up close and in person. His avatar is spot-on. :jester:
  21. Holy leverage, Batman! I think I just strained my tights. :ack:
  22. Oh, sure...drag me into it. :toetap05:
  23. I had four; gave one to my father last year. :jester: On a side note, when HF has a sale, I’ll stock up. For instance, 4.5” cutoff wheels; have three of those.
  24. So true. My last count on hammers was at 21; peen ball set, dead blow set, rubber mallet set, and, and, and . . . :smash:
