I used two pins (positioned 90 degrees from each other; one at the front of the coupler and one at the rear). Drilled through the shaft aand coupler only, not the column. If you have a column, that should be fixed to the car (holds the shaft in place). It will depend on your setup as to what you need to drill, if you go this route. I no longer have an actual column in my car, only the steering shaft which is threaded through spherical bearings...but that’s whole other discussion. Don’t want to muddy the waters.
As as for the brand of adapter, I don’t recall, but it was for a Grant steering wheel. As for what you need, this will require a hub with the proper bolt pattern for the wheel you use as well as a coupler designed for the correct shaft diameter. I’d start with the shaft diameter and go from there.
