  1. Interesting find on fleabay tonight: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-Vincent-MPH-Riley-Nine-Speed-Model-Brooklands-Vincent-MPH-Riley-Nine-Speed-Model-/301502876418?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4632f8cb02&item=301502876418&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
  2. Okay, Jefferson, let me get the facts straight here. The video I shared is of a ‘car on fire’ at TWS. You are checking me out at TWS at the end of Feb with TDE. You have a tendency to spontaneously combust while on track . . . . . . . I’m not getting a good feeling about this. :jester:
  3. LOL! That's a 'hidden Mickey' alright!
  4. I wonder if those Zimmer clams will fit my Storker. Tom, with his clam-cad Cat and big front fatties, has inispired me to new levels of irrationalism. :conehead: I've seen this car up close and personal. Best bargain (absolute best bang for the buck) on the Storker market right now. Somebody with LS aspirations needs to be grabb'n the goods . . . . . . Klasik-69, are you still in the market for a Storker? You guys are both in sunny FL.
  5. Willie. :jester:
  6. Well, it sure ain't peewee! :smilielol5:
  7. Start here: http://www.car-part.com/
  8. That's a first, super......love it. Here's to successfully passing inspection.
  9. ......and your dog is named what? :jester:
  10. Kitcat, you could always pull a yellowss7 and go with fatties all around. :jester:
  11. Dave and Bev, thanks for sharing . . . . . .
  12. I know there is a very small group (thanfully) on this forum who have experienced a car fire, but this is something that, I dare say, most of us rarely think of as simply 'happening' while driving. This occurred at Texas World Speedway while running what looks to be the 2.9ccw course (on the exit out of turn seven). Notice how quickly this happened; the video is only 59 sec long...........food for thought. :ack:
  13. MightyMike on this forum runs LED headlights. Perhaps he'll chime in.
  14. Jevs, That's a nice looking (functional) pair of rocker rod "hood"s. Unless this is something you simply want to keep in your back pocket, you should share this with the Minehearts'.
  15. I strongly 'second' using the Ford starter solenoid. Easy fix.
  16. Good lord! All this talk of soaking....and no mention of ratios? How much of each? Please hurry.....my patience is wearing thin and I'm running out of biscuits.
  17. Every rollbar needs a rifle rack.
  18. And what a great day it's been for Croc's car and coffee!
  19. Mike, thanks. Here in El Dorado, this is my version of 'cars and coffee'.
  20. Becasue of all that d#@$&n torque!!!!!......that's why!!! Imagine what it'll do to the car when you mash the go pedal........probably flip it over! :jester: Well, I suppose now you want those fancy, light weight front fenders back. :smilielol5: . . . . . . .
  21. Well, Martin, I suppose Chicago makes College Station a 'no go' for next month.
  22. Bob, You may have me confused with Scott B. He's the driver in the video. He's running a Stalker with an LS3 / T56 drivetrain. I'm running an LS6 / TKO600 combo.
  23. Yep, Michael D. alright........no mistaking that tomato red. :jester:
  24. Martin, Welcome to the forum! :seeya: I'm the former owner of Chris’s (Gherkin) green supercharged beast (a beautiful car, BTW) and the current owner (second time around) of an LS6-powered Stalker (jokingly called Storkers :jester:) that I built, sold and bought back. Up front, ‘ALL’ of these cars—regardless or make, regardless of who built it, no matter how well sorted and maintained, no matter what drivetrain—will require a bit more attention when it comes to maintenance and, of course, breakage. Yes, sadly, they do break. Having said that, I can’t name a single car I’ve owned that’s more fun than a well sorted, dialed in Seven, especially when you are driving the car the way it was meant to be driven. From crossflows to V8s, these cars are challenging to own, yet very rewarding to drive. Any of them will frustrate you, yet keep your fun meter pegged in the red. You simply have to be willing to turn a wrench every now and then; comes with the territory. As for TMW’s, a few of us here (including me) have had issues that we, for the sake of the Seven community, are careful about sharing. From what little I know, let me stress that the quality of the Birkin (as delivered from the factory) has ‘NEVER’ been the issue. The details of my personal experience with TMW’s, I keep under my hat, but will share one-on-one (privately) if interested. Having said that, do not let my words (neither now nor later) sway you from purchasing a Birkin; they are very well designed, excellent examples of Sevens. A well-sorted, dialed in example is the Birkin of Folis Jones who has been tracking the car for a few years (see photo below and link to his videos). I don’t know where you’re located, but JeffersonRaley (JR) and I will be running at Texas World Speedway Feb 28-March 1. JR will have his Birkin at the track and I will be bringing the Storker. It may be an opportunity for questions, etc. if you could make it to College Station, TX that weekend. Good luck with your Seven search. Shane  https://www.youtube.com/user/folisjonesracing/videos
