  1. Jevs, That's a nice looking (functional) pair of rocker rod "hood"s. Unless this is something you simply want to keep in your back pocket, you should share this with the Minehearts'.
  2. I strongly 'second' using the Ford starter solenoid. Easy fix.
  3. Good lord! All this talk of soaking....and no mention of ratios? How much of each? Please hurry.....my patience is wearing thin and I'm running out of biscuits.
  4. Every rollbar needs a rifle rack.
  5. And what a great day it's been for Croc's car and coffee!
  6. Mike, thanks. Here in El Dorado, this is my version of 'cars and coffee'.
  7. Becasue of all that d#@$&n torque!!!!!......that's why!!! Imagine what it'll do to the car when you mash the go pedal........probably flip it over! :jester: Well, I suppose now you want those fancy, light weight front fenders back. :smilielol5: . . . . . . .
  8. Well, Martin, I suppose Chicago makes College Station a 'no go' for next month.
  9. Bob, You may have me confused with Scott B. He's the driver in the video. He's running a Stalker with an LS3 / T56 drivetrain. I'm running an LS6 / TKO600 combo.
  10. Yep, Michael D. alright........no mistaking that tomato red. :jester:
  11. Martin, Welcome to the forum! :seeya: I'm the former owner of Chris’s (Gherkin) green supercharged beast (a beautiful car, BTW) and the current owner (second time around) of an LS6-powered Stalker (jokingly called Storkers :jester:) that I built, sold and bought back. Up front, ‘ALL’ of these cars—regardless or make, regardless of who built it, no matter how well sorted and maintained, no matter what drivetrain—will require a bit more attention when it comes to maintenance and, of course, breakage. Yes, sadly, they do break. Having said that, I can’t name a single car I’ve owned that’s more fun than a well sorted, dialed in Seven, especially when you are driving the car the way it was meant to be driven. From crossflows to V8s, these cars are challenging to own, yet very rewarding to drive. Any of them will frustrate you, yet keep your fun meter pegged in the red. You simply have to be willing to turn a wrench every now and then; comes with the territory. As for TMW’s, a few of us here (including me) have had issues that we, for the sake of the Seven community, are careful about sharing. From what little I know, let me stress that the quality of the Birkin (as delivered from the factory) has ‘NEVER’ been the issue. The details of my personal experience with TMW’s, I keep under my hat, but will share one-on-one (privately) if interested. Having said that, do not let my words (neither now nor later) sway you from purchasing a Birkin; they are very well designed, excellent examples of Sevens. A well-sorted, dialed in example is the Birkin of Folis Jones who has been tracking the car for a few years (see photo below and link to his videos). I don’t know where you’re located, but JeffersonRaley (JR) and I will be running at Texas World Speedway Feb 28-March 1. JR will have his Birkin at the track and I will be bringing the Storker. It may be an opportunity for questions, etc. if you could make it to College Station, TX that weekend. Good luck with your Seven search. Shane  https://www.youtube.com/user/folisjonesracing/videos
  12. I don't think this owner posts here, so I'll throw this up for those interested parties. . . . . .
  13. The San Fran Storker is chassis #129. Here's a link to the build file on the yahoo Storker Gallery: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=16439
  14. You guys are troopers!........it's a blistering 36 degrees here in Eldo. That looks like Chris E's Storker.
  15. Sitting at the house, surfing boobtube and ran across these two vids. Afterward, I found an add for the Seven (third link); looks like a nicely done car......and it has a Chevy four banger! http://carro.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-613166023-audax-24-16v-replica-lotus-7-_JM . . . . .
  16. LOL!!! Now that's funny!
  17. Supposedly, a Vignale Lancia Flaminia dress up to look like the Astin?????
  18. Gee, thanks, Mike. Been sitting here waiting patiently with coffee in hand...... Lucky for you, I can only create certain emoticons on the bat phone. Toe tap.....My Three Sons. Steve and I have now dated ourselves.
  19. No photos in the message for me either.
  20. Yep . . . . . . . :jester:
  21. Mine engine was running fine when I first took it apart.......more ponies was 'why'. And you are about to take apart a perfectly good running car bacasue . . . . ? :jester: You coiuld always buy astrobob's M-spec Storker, but an 'L'S1 would be much more unique. :Chevy_anim: If it helps, I'm considering more engine mods next winter......too much is nearly enough. Okay, time for you to get crazy . . . . . . . . . :lurk:
  22. Perhaps he should have opted for a supercharger instead.......one large enough so he could tell the difference.
  23. Steve, You have in your possession one 5.7 LS6 block……the same as in my Storker.
  24. And now, back to the build. :jester:
