  1. I felt like I was in an episode of Orange County Choppers with the rush to the finish. After a few problems, the car was done(ish) about 5:30. Thankfully I was able to slip through the top of the roll cage and drove in the rain out for a quick alignment. At about 6:30, it went on the trailer. After a rainy three hour drive, I have arrived! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Thankfully, I have Saturday/Sunday to shake down the car. Karl
  2. Wish me luck. The car is 95% done, but has not been started yet. If all goes to plan, the car will start up in the morning with no fuss and go off to get aligned and a shake down drive. I plan to head out after work tomorrow, so they have a full day to wrap things up. Karl
  3. Check out SBD Motorsport They helped me get my Cosworth programed over the phone! Karl
  4. I can't wait to see all your new carbon fiber goodies! (as you zoom past everyone)
  5. I'm all set for the Intermediate 1 run group.
  6. Is there no tech form for SCDA?
  7. I just called SCDA and asked them to try to get us all into HPDE Intermediate 1. They said they would do their best, but seemed positive.
  8. Now boys, I want you all to pay attention to the 33 second point. You might as well skip right to it and not bother watching the rest. Mike, I wish I could have been there, it sounds like fun. (Minus the mishaps.) Girls, Girls, Girls... (Hyperfest Hotties) - YouTube
  9. Glad you like the Avons and can stay for Monday. They will be all scrubbed in for this weekend. I'll be at Lightning (with any luck at all) on Saturday/Sunday.
  10. Good point, I'm in Intermediate 2.
  11. The cage is just beautiful. It looks just like the Caterham Superlight cage, just 4" taller and with an extra side impact bar. It is not on the car yet, so I have not been able to try getting in it. I'm bringing a shoehorn and Vaseline just incase. Karl
  12. Point well taken. My car is about 80% back together, cutting it close, but I am sure checking on them twice a day should keep them moving.
  13. Why can't we have this setup? http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/547150_478454258835842_719195628_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/389241_411282768886325_999371263_n.jpg
  14. Looks super cool, Croc has this setup, but bad for knee room of those of us who are vertically enhanced.
  15. You can work from the track! Just do it!
  16. I hope you let him out at the first chicane, he will be begging for it!
  17. I'll bring my portable grill just incase we get in the mood to cook!
  18. Mike, Thankfully, my mechanic has been non-stop on my car. I think he actually likes to work on it as much as I like to drive it. If you need any tips on micromanagement, just let me know. I go by the shop every day and call england all the time looking for any missing parts. Good luck getting a car on the track.
  19. I will be at Lightning both Saturday and Sunday. My trailer is white with Caterham Racing on the side. I'll be staying in town as the VIP suites are fully booked.
  20. I plan on getting in on Friday night, not too late. Guess I should book a room!
  21. Tom, Are you there for the Saturday/Sunday before? I will be at the Trackdaze HPDE both days to warm up for Monday!!!
  22. Things are looking good for me to have my car back for this weekend. The motor, gearbox, rear suspension and electrical harness. Just need to fit the front suspension, engine ancillaries and roll cage. The final parts are on their way too. I'm really looking forward to having my car back on the track for this event!
  23. Thanks for looking, I have one coming FedEx from Caterham UK.
  24. If anyone has one, new or used, laying around I'd love to get my hands on one ASAP!!! Karl
  25. Delays? That's very shocking... Good luck with the build. Get ready to become friends with the "Shortages Department" for all the bits that did not come with the kit.
