    get together

I plan on meeting Stewart sometime this weekend as well. Has he just not chimed in yet?
  2. I'm interested in the SVT head. I'll have to check compatibility though, as I'm running a VCT currently (Jenvey ITB, and stock ignition). I'd need the cams, and ... well... everything else to make the head swap work. Sorry if that sounded silly. I haven't done a lot of reading on the VCT-SVT head swap yet as I wasn't looking before now.

    get together

I should be up for that. Roads will be clear by then, and the temperature on the right side of zero. Anyone brave enough to roll their Se7en?
  4. I think I like this setup the most. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/E5E6C1C4-B8B3-42AF-8DCC-53CB17A7D228_zpsuzw579vr.jpg
  5. Yeah, looking at it more now I think you may be right. There's no clear shot of the front of the valve cover, so there may still be the solenoid, but on a black top that would make it a VCT (what I have). I don't think its that either though because the VCT usually has that marking on the cover as well. Beyond all that, I think the SVT engine came with a silvertop valve cover. EDIT All that said, Finding a standard Zetec head to replace the VCT I currently have would be nice as well.
  6. Can't believe I'm listing this here, but I'm not in a position to swap my motor yet. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/FORD-FOCUS-ZETEC-LONG-BLOCK-ENGINE-SVT-2003-1100-MILES-/190985103148?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c7799672c

  8. Bryn from Australia got back to me and said she has renewed her search for these parts again. Apparently there are a few in S.Africa available and may be up for grabs. I mentioned there may be other interest besides just myself, does that sound about right?
  9. Thanks for all the well wishing!! Great lot of you here!! I had my ham and turkey on Saturday and am working on the soups today. MMMmmmm split pea and ham. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada, and we'll revisit the topic in a month and a bit. For now though, Happy Columbus Day!!
  10. Well the rear bumper is coming along. I should be able to have it painted by the end of the weekend. Now it's just to find some suitable seatbelts to drop in. I'm guessing a recent Miata or something similar will do. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/E13FCCC5-3E40-4DD3-97AB-3EB79D29F346_zps1xjzxkhq.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/AD9EDDE3-EA0A-4292-91F1-37CECB98FE83_zpswvblxdyl.jpg
  11. Well I was leaning towards putting them up front at the grill opening when I firs thought of the idea, but it looks so damn good along the side, I think that's where it will have to be. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/AA59FE14-FE87-4009-8D2D-43803E386BF1_zpsqaeixhgf.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/1785790A-7C20-454E-9B10-4E3E608F10FA_zpsf0fylsrh.jpg
  12. I'll be keeping an eye out here autorama.com to see when they start accepting entries. Knowing the dates already though, is there any interest in getting a little chunk of floor space there?
  13. I'll be sure to travel with a long scarf flowing out the back of the car.
  14. Oh how I wish I could....
  15. Well? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/41246C9D-88D0-4CE8-ADF9-883EF55DBB40_zpscxzopd2q.jpg

  17. I have committed to purchase Stewart's trailer. It is beyond a perfect fit, and built well also. WOW is in February and I'm assuming that if we get organized and have a display, we will likely not be driving there. Although I do recall my first ride in Madge being around that same time of year.
  18. You keep poking me about the Sharks teeth. lol. Should I chalk you up as one of the masses who have told me they think it's a bad Idea? lol
  19. Just found out that the World of Wheels in Calgary is on Feb 20-22..... Just sayin'.... Looks like I may even have a covered trailer to help get our cars there with too.
  20. Awesome!! That opened the door to a bunch of links. Thank you for the help. I was also playing around with the idea of making my own. I found a few links but the process looks simple enough. http://www.westsystem.com/ss/the-lost-foam-method-of-composite-fabrication/
  21. Will do. I'm assuming there is interest on your side to get one as well? I also emailed Dean at BirkinPerformanceCars.com, and we'll see what comes back on both accounts. I'll update when I have more.
  22. Well, I got to my desk this morning and heard back from Birkin Australia. Unfortunately they only have one left and it seems to be in very poor condition. I didn't get much more detail, but I asked if it was salvagable in my reply. Bryn also pointed me the direction of BirkinPerformanceCars.com, who has apparently purchased Birkin SA. Apparently this group plans on injecting some time money and effort into the brand, and Bryn suggested I contact them directly.
  23. They are in the mail somewhere between Michigan and Calgary.
  24. She lives again!! (Video) http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/th_C467254C-A5EE-401B-8A28-6EC36A173497_zpshyyjnjtc.jpg
  25. The fact that that's the only reason, leaves me a honoured man.
