  1. I'll drive her there for you if you like. lol
  2. I'm not sure what I have planned this weekend. What's up in High River?
  3. However much it is, It is Stunningly beautiful!
  4. Hahaha. The sharks teeth have been ordered as of yesterday. I wanted to personally decide on the placement or possible declining on using them.
  5. There are only really four shows I look forward to in the Calgary area. World of Wheels, All makes / models (Feb) Illmotion, Mostly for the models (June) Shaw, Showing off to the peers (No set date) Cardell, Best free show in town (Sept) Us setting up at any of them would be awesome!

  7. Yes, Steve showed up near the end, but I sadly missed him too. I think next year we'll have to get a display together and have a few of us show up. I think it would be fun. I'd also really like to get a display for World of Wheels in March. That's a show I've dreamed of having a car in since I was very young, and have yet to realize it.
  8. I was rushing to unpack the Jeep while dropping off the car and just set down the fenders wherever I could without scratching them.
  9. Almost ready for reassembly....Again. Scuttle is painted up on the firewall and ready to start rerunning wires I needed to remove to take it off. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/F5F3D918-1AA1-4020-B94E-B5F40215A29E_zpscioc2gfy.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/DB9F29A0-E202-4B79-AD32-D06B7DEB509D_zpsvih9d0ln.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/4B6D0AA0-61D6-4965-B068-EAB42C774B95_zps9dwjuo3t.jpg

  11. Here's the results. I'm thrilled with it. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/77A39E5B-EFF1-43D7-970B-B57E1333855A_zpsece7hssk.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/6C4B77C9-B8CD-4BEE-9975-4A3752586C70_zpsooz3wpp6.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/B0AAAE9E-61F4-48F9-92D4-BEB7B7025610_zps0gq9pupa.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/358A3C3C-F308-4106-B302-5D1FA66B80FD_zps1iolaelw.jpg
  12. I didn't see you there. In a quick back and forth with Steve, it was mentioned that we should plan something for this well ahead. I'm not much a car show guy with my cars, but this show is different somehow. Maybe next year we have a display for our beasts at World of wheels, or this show, and set it up well in advance. Any interest to that?
  13. Well this exploded into some good theory and conversation. I felt a bit silly starting the topic, but I don't anymore. A Bryn contacted me and mentioned that this was a formula Ford piece that they still may be able to track down. I'll keep everyone updated as to what I find.
  14. With the first snow on the ground already, rear bumper not quite finished and my relaxed pace, I'm thinking now is as good a time as any.
  15. I had an offer I couldn't refuse thrown my way, so I had to blow the car apart fully to get ready for a colour change. Stay tuned. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/622DEF33-7E37-426F-BA62-DD789BFE204C_zpsb8mn2o0c.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/3872AA40-A9E9-4D36-8EDB-E953C80782D8_zpstebcwacp.jpg
  16. Thank you! I appreciate the help. :hurray:
  17. I know it may not be for everyone, but I just saw this scoop on a Facebook page I subscribe to (Se7ens Se7ens Se7ens) and I'd like to learn more about it. Anyone have a link for me? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/Beatrice%2006%202014/465B4597-E775-4A11-812E-94B1419214E8_zps3djotyck.jpg
  18. Those look great!
  19. Absolutely mad....... and I love every mm of it. With the ability to purchase one, I'd move across the pond just to do so.
  20. Fantastic. What cars are you bringing? The weather should be good by then.
  21. Bumping this one up again. Have't heard much from some of the other usual bunch. *taps mic* This thing on?
  22. I have even seen the wonderful effects of heat on 3M wrap on the Audi TT. Minor scuffs to the vinyl seem to heal themselves and disappear after leaving it in the sun. I never attached photos of the TT, so I figure why not now? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/F9039682-D5F6-484F-B361-A93E9E6CA4AC_zpss9kqiblo.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/7246779C-AB25-4C87-BC17-30D5715BEB6F_zpsv1ugujty.jpg Too much of anything is bad though, and even though heat seems to heal the vinyl, too much may destroy it. I will be fiberglass wrapping my exhaust as well to help reduce the heat on the side panel, and the involuntary tattooing of the back of the leg. I already have wrap on the headers to the collector, and just need to wrap from the collector to the muffler, and maybe even the muffler itself. I may also add some insulation to the inside of the side panel, close to where the exhaust ports out to help mitigate the extreme heat.
  23. Congrats!!! Lots of pictures of the welcome party yes??
  24. Here in Calgary I found the opposite. The costs of a bad paint job (Macco) start right at the cost of professionally done vinyl. From there the price goes up depending on the quality of the paint. Out the door, front to back, I'm looking at 1K$ for the vinyl on Beatrice. The Audi was just over double that. ....So you want to go yellow do you? *Duane's wheels start turning*
  25. I'm assuming that's an "I agree"? lol I think for me it was just that there are a few yellow Se7en's here in Calgary and I would like something that stands out, even in such a small crowd. I would only attempt the fenders myself, but I'll be painting them. The rears have the truck liner on them, and wouldn't wrap well. Wrapping a car is an art form, and requires experience and craft to get it right. I wouldn't attempt my car unless I had significantly more experience. Another thing to consider is the vinyl itself. 3M is the best in the business at making wrap, and the adhesive makes the application easier. In this instance I'd guess that the product is half the result. I'll do some more googling for him and the car. Thanks. Since our cars can tend to need painting often enough, the fact that a wrap is half the price it seems like a no brainer to me. Fortunately I'll be having it done, so the louvers aren't my problem. lol Currently the 3M Brushed Titanium is the lead pick for me. It has a slightly bronze tone to it when you see it in the light. I'm going for a WWII Spitfire Flying tiger sort of thing. I also like the way it looks with the carbon fibre and the red I have for the belts. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/nivaguy/53A15580-D5CC-45D9-A3D1-DC34867EADE3_zpsfco2e3kb.jpg
