  1. Here is a pic, it is a very pretty setup also!!! http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj527/vipergts-r/th_e3daa316.jpg
  2. I have a twin 45 Vauxhaul in my Westfield. Parts supplied from SBD. I have their MBE ignition only ecu. I have only had the car for a couple months but I find this engine fantastic! Amazing pull even at lower rpm. As mentioned easy power increases are available and the motor seems bullet proof. There are 2 different heads from what I have read - older motors having Cosworth built and newer motors having similar designed head but GM made. Ron.
  3. I am starting to understand about having more fun with the skinny tires. Great fun sliding it around corners!
  4. I am partial to my driveway! (Yours is pretty good though) http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj527/vipergts-r/th_55225d8d.jpg
  5. I guess a link is better than nothing!
  6. If this pic works it was from yesterday. Trying to post from my iPhone with photobucket: http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj527/vipergts-r/55225d8d.jpg
  7. Trough: I actually called you on a Saturday morning to take a drive out to see it. Got your voice mail and did not leave a message. The following week I found the Westfield for sale. Sorry, must have been fate! Terry: Thank you for your time on the phone over the last while talking about Caterhams. Probably will still own one eventually....in the meantime I am sure enjoying this car! Ron.
  8. Install an oil catch can (oil/air separator). Most vent to the atmosphere, as does the one on my Vauxhaul powered Westfield since it does not have to pass emissions. It is easy to convert it to a closed system - just remove the breather filter and run a line to your air filter, then put a hose fitting on the top flat part of your filter. No oil will be in the line so you don't have to worry about the gooey mess. Just drain the catch can once in a while.
  9. Yes they are Caterham. So are the windshield parts I believe. I just bought some wind wings for it. They will get installed this weekend(bought them with hardware but not drilled since the area is a hybrid of Westfield and Caterham). Car is amazing. I have fast cars - 400hp 2004 SRT-4 and a 750hp 1998 Viper GTS but this is totally different. I guess sitting 12" above the ground with no doors amplifies the sensation. Car definately needs more rubber in the back to hook up better. Will look at new wheels and tires next season. Will just enjoy it the way it is this year. Thanks, Ron.
  10. I can't believe this has not sold yet! Are things really this bad in the States?
  11. Thank you for the response. I know I should trace all the wires and clean all the contacts. Having too much fun driving it though!!!! Had my girlfriend in the car today and she seems to think the sound is coming from the rear of the car and not from under the dash. Up on the lift it goes for an inspection.
  12. I have a Westfield with a 2l Vauxhaul and a MBE ECU. Just wondering if anybody has had any issues with them. Once in a while my car wont start. It cranks but no go. I traced it to the 12 volts that goes to the centre wire on the coil pack. The voltage stops when I try to start it. If I jump 12 volts to it directly from the battery it starts and is good for days again. Also when driving, sometimes I hear what sounds like a loud wheezing sound coming from I think the ECU that is mounted under the dash on the passenger side. Ron.
  13. Anybody running a MBE ignition only ECU?
  14. Gotta say I'm lovin the "lump". Motor was built by SBD in the UK.
  15. Worked on it today - no problem, driveshaft can go up and over differential!
  16. Going to change the rear seal on my Westfield this weekend. Tranny is Ford type 9. Looking at the situation it seems that once I undo the 4 bolts that connect the rear of the driveshaft to the diff, the shaft will not drop down to pull out of tranny because there is a frame member underneath. Anybody done one? Ps. If you answer from UK, just substitute prop shaft for drive shaft! lol. Thanks, Ron
  17. Autozam AZ-1. Japanese micro or kei car. Makes the Westfield look big!!!
  18. West Hill. East end of Toronto.
  19. After looking for a 7 for years (the right car, one that could be imported to Canada, etc.) I finally purchased one last week. 1988 Pre-lit Westfield with a Post-lit SE narrow rebody. Red top Vauxhaul 2l and 5 speed Type 9 tranny. New paint and under 6,000 orig. miles. http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/6061/photo1ifv.jpg http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/3046/photo2rgy.jpg With my Autozam AZ-1 http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/641/photo5asi.jpg
  20. As far as the Vibrant Performance referral, I have 2 of their resonators on my SRT-4 and they make a great product! Ron.
  21. "This one time at band clamp...." sorry could not resist!
  22. Yeah, still looking. Not much comes up that can be imported though.

  24. I would love to own that one - but not at that price!
