There was an ad on one a bench in one of the scenes that mentioned Sherman Oaks which is in the SF Valley of Los Angeles. I too remember .32 gas.
TurboWood Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I hope you guys don't mind me making a crack about your age....dag nabit you guys are old. Is the lesson that I can street race if I dress-up like a lady? Daniel
Anaximander Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) I hope you guys don't mind me making a crack about your age....dag nabit you guys are old. Is the lesson that I can street race if I dress-up like a lady? Daniel Daniel, Who in the heck do you think can afford some of these cars? It is us geezers that are propping up the market. If we left it to you young guys, sales would plummet because many of you young guys are raising families etc. instead of partying as much as us old guys/gals:cheers: Edited December 15, 2014 by Astro Bob
yellowss7 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 As long as we can get in and out of these little cars, we are still young at heart. And when we can't get in and out, Skip will build us all butt slings. :seeya: Tom
Croc Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I dont remember it - it was before I was born! :nopity:
scannon Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I don't remember the film but I remember gas being much cheaper than $0.32 per gallon. Once while in the gulf coast area of Texas I bought gas at $0.15 per gallon. I remember bitching when the price of gas went from $0.25 when I first started buying it to $0.32 per. I also remember being jealous of the old farts with their Ferraris, Corvettes and other exotics when all I could afford were old clunkers. It just didn't seem fair to me back then, now that I'm one of the old farts it does. Note: I recently noticed that there isn't a cent sign on my keyboard. When did those get relegated to the alternate fonts?
