Cranky Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I've got this old picture of my father and I'm trying to identify the car. Any ideas? The picture was probably 1956 +/- a couple of years. The car looks like a Cadillac to me, but I can't find any images of a similar Cadillac. Any guesses?
JohnCh Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 The badge on the rocker behind the front wheel looks like it could be Pininfarina. Are you able to make out any detail on the hubcap center in the original photo? -John
Croc Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 You have impressive chest hair! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Croc Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 All silliness aside - I have sent the link to a retired car designer. That badge looks like Ghia (in the pre Ford acquisition days).
JohnCh Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 As usual, Croc is correct. Apparently 3 were made. The Ghia emblem on this car doesn't have the script underneath it like the car in the original photo. Looks like wheels are also different. Very cool. -John
Cranky Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 Amazing! Thanks, guys. I never would have found it.
BlueBDA Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Lovely. If they only made one of those 1/2 the size.

Kitcat Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Impressive car! I'd say the car to the right is a Jag XK120-150? What is the car on the left? Maybe an early T-bird? And the orange car to the far left?
