sf4018 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 I need a set for a race next month, having trouble locating some. Who does everyone buy theirs from?
KnifeySpoony Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 I just ordered some from Roger Kraus - he won't be getting their shipment until July however. He does seem to be the most popular Avon distributor in US however.
Bartman Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Try Meteor Motorsports in the UK, if they have them and even with shipping its a wash compared to buying from a US based supplier. I was trying to get a set of ZZS and everyone was out of stock here in the US and will be for quite a while. Demon tweaks were also quoting 7 days lead time on Avon's when I checked a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks @Bartman, your recommendation is much appreciated - they have everything in stock, the tires are cheaper, shipping cost more, net cost is a wash but you can get Avons quickly. 1
KnifeySpoony Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 You can also get them from Caterham. I bought a set from them as well and price after shipping was virtually identical to price from Roger Kraus. They were delivered in something like 2-3 days as well.

They sell the A64 compound only (they call it 8018 for some reason). But it looks like buying from the UK direct is the way to go now.
kayentaskier Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 I recently placed an order for new tires from the dealer who sold me my car. The price is about the same as Roger Kraus, my thought is I prefer to support the USA Caterham dealers as long as their price isn't significantly more expensive.
