Skip Barber Racing School offers the ultimate European driving adventure

If you’ve ever dreamed of driving the world’s most iconic racetracks, Skip Barber Racing School is making it possible this October with an unforgettable journey across Europe’s motorsport heartland. Over five days, participants will take on two bucket-list circuits — the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife and Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps — while enjoying the kind of hospitality and exclusivity that transforms a track trip into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The adventure begins in Germany at the Nürburgring, affectionately known as the “Green Hell.” After settling in and watching the VLN race series, drivers will take part in a detailed briefing before their first full day on track. With 16 laps of the 13-mile Nordschleife included in the package, participants will get plenty of time to test themselves on the most demanding circuit in the world, backed by the confidence of expert instruction and a track-prepared car.

From there, the journey shifts west to Belgium, where Spa-Francorchamps awaits. Unlike typical track days, this is a Spa Premium Track Day — a private event with limited entries, closed to the public. Drivers will experience over 40 laps of Spa’s sweeping corners and legendary elevation changes, with professional instructors on hand for one-on-one coaching. Between sessions, hospitality in the pit garages and lunch overlooking the F1 pit lane remind participants they are in one of motorsport’s most storied venues.

But this program is about more than just lap times. Between driving days, Skip Barber has curated experiences that showcase the beauty and culture of the region. A scenic road tour winds through the Mosel Valley’s vineyards and historic villages, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable stops along the way. Evenings are spent at renowned local restaurants, where group dinners are paired with world-class wines, adding a social and celebratory element to the program.

Every detail is designed to be seamless. Packages include track-prepared cars, fuel, instruction, hotels, meals, and helmets — allowing guests to simply arrive and drive. Optional upgrades are available for those who want additional mileage or full-time, dedicated coaching. Spouses and partners are also welcomed, with access to social events and even the option to ride along on track as a passenger.

In short, this is not just another driving school — it’s a motorsport pilgrimage. To experience both Nürburgring and Spa in the same trip, with expert guidance and premium hospitality, is something few enthusiasts ever achieve. Skip Barber Racing School has created a program that combines adrenaline, culture, and exclusivity in equal measure.

Spaces are strictly limited, and demand is expected to be high. For those ready to check two legendary circuits off their bucket list in the most extraordinary way, this October’s Skip Barber European Driving Experience may be the opportunity of a lifetim

Both the Skip Barber and Everyday Driver Spa packages are operated through RSR Racing.

Given most people on USA7s are reluctant (or poverty stricken) to spend that big then you can do an arrive and drive by just renting directly through RSR Spa and RAR Nurburg to drive on track and driving between the locations in your rental car picked up on arrival at an airport.  You save by organizing your own travel.

However, if you want to do a bucket list Europe trip then you can do it 'cheaper' again by avoiding RSR and doing it in a se7en.  TFL Racing take their rental 420 race car to Europe tracks as part of the bigger group.  Ask @bball7754 about his experience doing it at Spa in a TFL Racing rental Caterham.  Bruce Beachman also rented the same car for Spa and then the following year at Portimao and Estoril.  Its well prepared and supported the entire event.

Whichever way you do it make sure you get the insurance.  The write up here describes your average tourist group renting from RSR.

The RSR Iberia trip this year is April 25 through 28.  One day at Sevilla and two days at Portimao.  I am very much trying to clear my work schedule to go.  Portimao is a better track than Spa - more challenging.

I'm also looking very closely at October 9 through 12 inclusive.  Two track days operated by RSR and Goldtrack (4 days total) at Spa-Francorchamps.  I'd pick three days and enjoy.  There are other RSR Spa double header events throughout the year.  TFL Racing send the truck to Spa a few times a year - just time your trip to fit in with the group.  Makes it cheaper by sharing the car truck transport and its social in the evenings as the group get together for dinner at the town of Spa, 20 minutes drive away.

@Croc I thoroughly enjoyed your Spa-Francorchamps write-up. Thank you for that.

I will be there....one day... hopefully sooner rather than later, but I will be there.... Mark... my... words...

My experience with TFL at Spa was outstanding.  And the track is amazing.

It was a total financial splurge for my 70th, as I didn’t share the Seven.  But with the open track time (no groups), it would become much less painful if the Seven was shared among 2 or 3 drivers.  And you would still get plenty of track time.

I’m ready to go back!
