demoray Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I'm looking to replace the leather seats in my Caterham (sv chassis) with a seat more appropriate for a 6 point harness. Does anyone within a 2-3 hour radius of Washington DC have tillett seats, preferably the B6 Screamer model, that I can sit in? Before I spend what looks like $3k before shipping and tariffs, I'd prefer to see if I actually fit in the seats and find them comfortable.
Vovchandr Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Keep in mind you need SV Tillet seats to test. Pretty sure they are wider. NJMP 7s day is your best bet.
demoray Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 If possible, I'd love to have them installed before then so I can use them that day.
Croc Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I have both B6 Screamer XL type (sounds like my ex?) and Caterham SV style Tillets installed in Caterham SVs at NJMP. If you need a Caterham S3 type Tillet then there are options nearby I could set up.

The SV Tillets are wider, but the S3 Tillets fit the SV chassis without mods. It comes down to the width you prefer. The image below shows the differences in width.
CarlB Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I live in Fairfax and have the ones for a S-3 if you would like to try them. They are not currently in the car. PM me if you would like to try them. The ones I have are the FIA approved race seats. They are much stiffer than the ones that come from Caterham. 1
captain pabst Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Im in baltimore with 620r Tillets in an SV chassis.
demoray Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 I met up with CarlB this evening and tried out his seats. (Thanks again!) Interesting enough, he lives about two miles as the crow flies from where I grew up. I fit in the Tilletts now, though I would not have a year ago. I'll be figuring out where to order them this coming week. 3
