escondidoron Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Wonderful picture. What an awesome turn out for the event. Must have been great fun.
adelgigs Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Really an impressive aray of "7"'s, for any country. I hope the interest in the V8 Supercars doesn't detract from the interest in smaller, lighter cars that has seemed to stay very healthy "down under", including NZ. Hey Jim, The V8 cars have a core following, mostly the younger folk, but the seven community is large and strong. We had 105 cars at the Nationals, with a couple of others turning up at various times. Here is a F20C (S2000) powered car.
jimrankin Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Nice aero on the rear fender. It might also keep a few burned shins from happening! Doesn't help with the stone chips, I guess any 7 is bound to get them though.
ayseven Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Taken this afternoon, can't see all my car, but shows what these things are for!
TxCoyote Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Here's another with the good set of wheels
slomove Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I want to have an infinite number of sevens.......:blueangel:
locost7018 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Groovy, Slomove. Far out man!!!!!!!!!!! Russ
jimrankin Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I'm a "60's generation" survivor with a fading memory but I think I lived that picture on many an evening, maybe too many an evening..LOL.
jimrankin Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Ever wonder why a ZAP comics book was hilarious and made perfect sense to you "the night before" but was totally undecipherable the next morning. If so, yes, you were there. LOL.
jimrankin Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Better talk LOUD, after one too many concerts (and driving a "7") most of our generation don't hear too well any more. LOL.
slomove Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) I'm a "60's generation" survivor with a fading memory but I think I lived that picture on many an evening, maybe too many an evening..LOL. Hey, the fading memory gives you away :jester: as you say, too many an evening..... Anyway, this fractal rendering was done with UltraFractal software, but I did not save the file and I am embarrassed to say I forgot which fractal formula I adopted. I only remember vaguely that I used the "Direct Orbit Traps" coloring algorithm with the "Image Trap" plugin. See, there is some fading memory.... But, since it seems to recall pleasant memories of ancient history, here is another one of Herb's Birkin on the Black Hills tour (well, actually while being repaired...): Edited December 21, 2011 by slomove
jimrankin Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 If only my arthritis wasn't bothering me so bad I'd throw you a "peace" sign... LOL. Hey, and a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year or whatever it is your celebrating to all who read the post.

Martin H Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Finally found these pictures on the web (they seem to have been removed from most websites), which are the most spectacular 7 pictures I've seen. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/doc.asp?c=16&i=4503 By the way, those are sparks under the car in the first picture. I recall he got punted from behind in the braking area for a sharp chicane following one of the fastest straights in the UK, ran off the circuit and got launched across the track at 90 degrees due to the huge concrete kerbs.
