I saw that yesterday.......nice looking car.

The one thing I wonder about is where the battery is? Normally they are above the passenger footwell.

According to one of the bullet points in the listing "Battery is cleverly mounted under the air cleaner on the frame." I have a PC680 mounted in a similar position on my Westfield -- although I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call it cleverly mounted

Dang, if it goes for $18,000 someone is getting an incredible deal!

I wonder what ecu it uses, and if the owner is a member of this site. I haven't seen the car at any of our California get-togethers.

PS: I asked him what ECU he's using...

John Coombs is the owner and a registrant on the CCC. Perhaps you can track him down and pose your questions directly to him. He has apparently just relocated to Mariposa, CA from Culver City. I don't know him, but what I know about Birkins I think that's one hell of a deal. The motor and drivetrain alone are approaching the current price of the car. I came pretty close to buying a Birkin from Woody Harris in Vacaville before I settled on my DeDion Zetec Roadsport. Woody took me out for a demo drive at 135 mph over the twisties in the country around Vacaville. I don't have to say more. Best of luck to some fortunate new owner!

Hi Guys

Yes my car is the Blue one and I have no idea who the owner of the yellow car is although he seems to be located very near to my home.

By the way I moved up here from Arcadia not Culver City.

I have not listed my car on ebay as they never seem to reach a true market price.

I hope the owner has a reserve as at the moment it's a steal.

Wonderful car/price. About what I spent for my much older/slower Caterham last year.

I think that we will look back and wish that we had purchased a seven that nice for that price. Do you that that April the 15th had anything to do with it?

I am 98% sure Bill purchase a used Stalker on the Friday before he listed his very nice Birkin on Ebay. The guy that sold the Stalker indicated that Bill also had a very nice Birkin and lived fairly close by Oakland, CA.

The Birkin sellers name was Bill, had a nice yellow Birkin and lived in CA within close driving distance to Oakland. Too many coincidences. He had been looking at Stalkers for a long time.

I do not think he was on this list but had talked to a lot of Stalker owners.
