Ian7 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Classy act! .... and clever too; think how little this actually cost them relative to standard advertising campaigns; inexpensive and massive goodwill value; smart!
MHKflyer52 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Boy I bet the Beamer driver is in a lot of trouble over that one. Very smart of Hyundai to be so nice.
gjslutz Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I think that driver was the valet parking lot attendant that parked my then new 71 XJ12 Jag. I was in the city for the NYC International Car Show. I had to fly home, yes this shows my age!
DeanG Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I worked with a guy who's parking was excellent. When we would go out to lunch and he would drive he always parked with perfect spacing all around. He admitted to parking cars at a country club while in college. His was the only one who had not totaled a car. He had dinged a few but not totaled any.
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hyundai has been pumping out some good looking cars with an excellent warranty. Not to mention they listened to car enthusiasts in producing a small rear wheel drive sports coupe. I also agree, this was a brilliant idea by their marketing department. I subject that they're one of the most forward thinking auto companies in the US today. One morning when I had my caterham at a car gathering here in southern california, I met a gentleman and his son in a BRG caterham classic. He hads me a card that says "John Krafcik - President and CEO of Hyundai America"
scannon Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Did he have a Hyundai engine in his Caterham?
WestTexasS2K Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I didnt know that BMW made monster trucks!
Kitcat Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Looks like the perpetrator "forgot" about leaving a note admitting to his/her responsibility. Hopefully the caught him/her. I sense a cell phone somewhere in all of this. Mike
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Did he have a Hyundai engine in his Caterham? Nope, it was a crossflow. Now that you mention it...I wonder how heavy/big one of those 2.0L turbocharged motors is...
Boxologist Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 probably be easier to fit in a WCM. Hyundai had to do a bunch of work changing the orientation from tranverse w/ an AWD transmission to a longtudinal orientation w/ a rwd box. many of the EVO X modification don't work on the Genesis 2.0t. it is a very nice car for the money. absolutely overweight, but very fun w/ simple mods.
