slngsht Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 my hood that is... sorry, can't get any closer without you guys seeing all the lumps. I have NO body work talent.
Hank Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Loving it so far. Can't wait to see the rest of the car.

DeanG Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Flat black rat rod (rat Se7en) or is paint on the list?
MHKflyer52 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 slngshy, Those cleclos will only hold that scoop on for a very short time when driving....or are they the Electrical connectors that you use to start Franklin 7’s pulse in that mad workshop you have…..just kidding. Looks good and even looks menacing in flat black.
Mondo Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 There's quite a few "flat" colors out there nowadays.... My 67 truck was flat blue during the time I learned that I can't do bodywork either.

yellowss7 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Mazda, why are you bothering with a hood scoop? The Blower will NEVER fit under it. :willy_nilly: Tom
slngsht Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 Cumberland wouldn't let me autox without a hood last year  blower would be nice, but FRANKN7 will stay normally aspirated. If money just starts pouring into my bank account, the next step up is a built LS2 or LS3. That'll get me another 80-100hp. but that's gonna be a while
drew... Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 ANOTHER???? 80-100 horsepower? Some might say there is a point of diminishing returns but I don't think there will be many in this group:jester:

scannon Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Some others might say too much horsepower is just about right.
jimrankin Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I'm not sure that the phrase "too much horspower" is even a necessary part of the english language. Oh, it could always be used as, the other guy had "too much horsepower" so I still need more.
jwduncan Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 The hood looks great. Can't wait to see it in person. More power sounds good, then you'll want tires with more grip.
Off Road SHO Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 If you need to know when you have too much horsepower; read this http://locostusa.com/forums/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&keywords=%2Btoo++%2Bmuch++%2Bhorsepower++&start=15 Tom
David C Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 If you need to know when you have too much horsepower Dolly Parton becomes flatchested when you hit the gas.:jester:
NEVERSATISFIED Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I am new here, and that thing is just plain mean. What kind is that? That is just like what I would want for the track.
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Have you considered modifying the chin spoiler with the same crease? Maybe give it a bit of a V shape to match the scooop... Just a thought. I must say I love the look of it.
