yellowss7
Al, here's couple of pictures of a slightly later period 7. You may remember this day from a few years back. Tom
11Budlite
Al, this is the table I remember seeing in the past. Sorry it doesn't specify the applicable years: http://eliseinfo.com/wp/lotus-paint-codes/
Al N.
@Yellow: That series 4 car is owned by someone named Jack, right? I've chased the colors down before and there are a few vintage oranges...one might be called Colorado Orange. I guess I could always wimp out and just go Cat Orange. Note, this is only the accent color, the car will be mostly black. I'll look at that chart, Bruce. Tx.
Al N.
Here are a few oranges from the chart Bruce linked to. S04 Orange ICI P407783 L33 Ford Signal Orange ICI DA21 L14 Colorado Orange ICI P0309055 The Ford Signal Orange is a bit too "burnt"/reddish for the look I'm going for. I've found a photo of one Colorado Orange Europa that looks about right, but still not sure... Would it be as simple as going to a body shop and asking to see chips based on the ICI codes? S1Steve
Looking for a period-correct (1961) orange. Al, How about the orange that Team Lotus Gold-Leaf cars were painted. Would it meet your spec's for period- correct. L05 Carnival Red, Used in the Gold-Leaf scheme from Oct. 1967 Steve Edited March 2, 2011 by S1Steve
S1Steve
Steve, that was gold and red, like the cig box for Gold Leaf. Yes I know what it looks like , just looked at a Elan in Gold Leaf spec on Saturday. Just trying to help !!!!

Al N.
I happen to love KitCat's Dark Blue w/ Red noseband, but also wanted to make the new/old car an homage to my old/new car... Bessie, you may not remember this because it was so long ago, but you were born ali/yellow.
BessieTheSeven
I really wanted pink highlights but I had to compromise to get those lovely new (brake) shoes. If I let you paint me orange can I have leopard skin car seat trimmings? Puhleeese, pleeeeese, please Al?
