What are you asking for X-mas?

My list starts with:

Colin Chapman - Inside the Innovator

What are some of your book, DVD, Lotus/Caterham related gift ideas?

On the big ticket side....I'm shooting for new tires

My big ticket gift for myself won't be delivered until after Christmas but I put down a deposit on a gas powered 5/8 scale Se7en. It will be similar to this one.

A fellow in Colorado Springs builds them from scratch. The frame is built on a jig and the craftsmanship is very good.

There are at least two more available as he is making a run of five. There will be a new thread with more info and pictures in a day or two.

I just ordered a copy of the new MotoGP documentary "Fastest". I absolutely loved the directors first MotoGP documentary "Faster" and this one looks even better. If you are a fan of any kind of motor racing you have to watch the first 5 minutes of the film at http://axisofoversteer.blogspot.com/2011/11/fastest.html

Another good movie to get would be the BluRay of Senna

I remember that great race. This year was pretty much a runaway by Stoner. But next year... all new bikes (1000cc up from 800cc).

New helmet will hopefully be under the Xmas tree.

For those with a little more ooomph in the wallet looking for Christmas gift ideas, I stumbled over this store while wandering around Singapore this afternoon.

Lots of goodies to buy. There was a replica F1 steering wheel at $3800. If you wanted one that was signed by Massa following an F1 race then you could smell the sweaty palms on that wheel if you put up $8000. There were a neat desk top set of 4 valves and a piston that had been given the Alonso at some race for $800 and $900 respectively. There was a nice F1 engine on a stand with a certificate of authenticity by Ferrari marked POA. And of course if you wanted to buy the 2007 F1 car in the window it was strictly marked price on request. Since I would have had to ask, I could not afford it and did not bother.
