Hi guys. OK I know its a USA club, but I'm sure you wont mind a Brit devotee joining the ranks. I live in Rochester, England (Charles Dickens) country, and my car is a Tiger Super Six. Not sure if there are any in the USA, but I've included a couple of pics for now.

Engine is a Ford Zetec 2.0 with Kent Cams and Weber 45 DCOE's. Its in bits at the moment due to a winter re-build, ready for the warmer weather!

I'd be interested if there are any Tigers out there.

Cheers all,

Ade

Hello Ade,

Nice looking 7 you have there. Looks extremely clean and highly polished.

Please post some more photos of your Tiger when you have the chance.

Curious to see more.

Welcome aboard Ade,

Very nice car. As above, more pictures please.

I've lusted after the Tiger with the twin bike engines but couldn't find anyone importing them to the states.

How about bringing your car to Canada this summer for the Grizzly Bear Blat?

http://www.7cars.ca/grizzly-bear-blat.htm There are threads on the blat in the National Events section of this forum.

Welcome Ade,

We have Seven Owners from all over the world on this forum, so we are glad to have you also.

We don't see Tigers over here, so it's cool to checkout yours. Is that your place in the backround ?$?$. LOL

p.s. What spec Kent cams are you using.... Steve

G'day Ade

It is always good when a Brit turns up as there is now someone else other than me who knows what rugby and cricket are! :D

Your car looks lovely - way too clean so I can assume you are a polisher? :p

Welcome aboard!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome.

Steve, the Kent Cams I have are the KCFZ2001 type.

Here's a you tube link of my car. It was built in 2006 and has gone through a few changes since then. I'll post up some better pics later.

Its not normally that clean Mike with our climate over here. Not into cricket but love rugby. Can't wait for the Six Nations to start!

Ade:

Welcome to the usa7s forum.

Great looking car, very clean, or as we used to say "very sanitary".

That frame is unusual, we typically see round tubes, but square and rectangular can be easier, but are typically more expensive.

Brits are welcome,as an ex pat living in Canada I speak from experience. A good bunch of gear heads on this forum. I haven't seen any tigers on the road,I have a Westfield, the tigers have a great following in the UK. Your car looks great. Welcome.

The Super Six is regarded as a bit of a classic and is no longer produced as a kit. it was sold from 1990 until 2008 and mine is one of the last kits sold dating from 2006. It was replaced by the Tiger R6. The "R" standing for "round tube" as in the chassis design. It also has a more modern IRS set-up where mine is a live-axle.

The Tiger range is designed by Jim Dudley who used to race Lotus 7's back in the sixties. He wanted to design his own car to race with, and the rest is history.

Here is some more information about the various Tiger models.

Wow I love that car. I wonder what it feels like to drive a 7 with power going to the front wheels. I dont get the reasoning of having 2 shift levers though. And it looks like if the suspension were set up a little differently it'd get more bite on the launch-- seems to lift the nose quite a bit, and I'm sure that wastes some of that front engine's power.

Its a super tiny 7. I like that.
