JeffersonRaley
Updated the chart to include a more reasonable power estimate for the 818, and added entries for the Stalker V6 and V8. The 818 still leads the pack per the "bang for buck" calculation. Although I have to say I've built/rebuilt a few cars and I think it would cost more than $20k to build a good one. But every number in the chart is approximate and could be argued. Heck, I'm even comparing the price of used cars to new ones. So the comparisons aren't really "fair". But I think they do represent realistic options in the uber-light crazy person car market. For me, all of the comparison analysis just reinforces that what I really want is a Seven. The 818 is cheap, but I already have a track car with similar performance. The Radical is insane, but too fast. I'd have no pressure to get better as a driver. Unless the Zenos launch tomorrow convinces me otherwise....
FE07
I like the "uber-light crazy person car market" Too true, probably of everyone on this forum. Jim A.
xcarguy
. . . . I have to say I've built/rebuilt a few cars and I think it would cost more than $20k to build a good one. :iagree: I've also built/rebuilt a few cars and I have NEVER been able to build a GOOD car within a company's advertised build budget. For me, all of the comparison analysis just reinforces that what I really want is a Seven. :iagree: Yep, fun cars. And it doesn't matter what's under the hood. The Radical is insane, but too fast. :ack: Say it ain't so, Joe! Say it ain't so! JeffersonRaley, thanks again for compiling the chart. Suggestion: there is also another thread in General Discussion (Build vs. buy debate). That would be an excellent thread in which to also post your chart. To date, this thread has 631 views while Build vs. buy debate has 1,414 . . . both threads were started within two days of each other.

rnr
The final product looks very much like a 211 and is priced at 25k GBP: http://skiddmark.com/2014/01/zenos-e10-available-now-just-24995/ Not clear if that price is assembled with engine or just the kit
Automoda
I have to say I love it. I wish the article had more details.
rnr
Found some more info on their website: http://www.zenoscars.com/zenos-range/e10/ Sounds like the price is all inclusive and the launch edition cars (http://www.zenoscars.com/zenos-range/e10/e10-launch-edition/) have a a few extras and are priced at ~29K GBP. No mention of kit or US plans means they may not be coming over here at all.
JeffersonRaley
That is the awesome - and price is great. Now I'm really interested. I know someone who is talking with Zenos about becoming an importer, so it sounds like there is definite potential.
bball7754
I signed up on the Zenos website 3-4 months ago, and immediately received a semi-personalized email from Ansar Ali. I responded to him, and asked about bringing E10 to the US. He actually did reply, and stated that the US was not in their plans. Of course, things always change. Sean
Nothing but respect for Mr. Ali, and the car looks intriguing and all, but... couldn't they come up with a company name that doesn't rhyme with "penis"?

I suppose they could have called it Zanus. :jester:
