S1Steve
OK, thank you John, now the thread is complete, BMW owners have been thrown under the buss!!!! Move over Jim, I need my spot under the BMW buss..... I have asked the wife if she would like a BMW hat for when she has the top down... Whew.. she said no... xcarguy
No, just lacking in experience. Well, my Storker does have two seats and a warmed-over Z06 engine. :Chevy_anim: And some of the body components are made of fiberglass; all that has to count for something in the world of bow ties. But I'll have to continue working on the snobbery; not a single thing about my car screams Porsche or BMW. Wait!!!! Here comes a bus!!!! :jester:
Klasik-69
Hey, no mention of Rustangs !
NVP66S
But, to my credit, unlike the typical Porsche, BMW, Jaguar or Corvette owner I HAVE NEVER OWNED A JACKET WITH A CAR NAME ON IT ;-). If your going to have an addiction, it mighty as well be cars. I admit I wear my motorcycle branded jacket, but I plead necessity, your Honor. It has all the right armor in all the right places. rikker
I should have narrowed it down to "late model 911 owners", they even look down their noses at Boxster/Cayman owners as if they are entry level peasants who cannot afford a new 911.(and kinda in the same vein how could anyone ever make fun of the best little, most reliable, cheapest to run, most fun sports car in the world for the last 20 odd years, the MX5/Miata). I like the mid engined cars a lot,in many respects even over the mighty 911, then when you put the price into it I like em even more. I was going to mention about Porche being the only marque that a lot of owners look down upon their fellow brand brothers who have paid less; but come to think of it I guess pretty common. While maybe to the hard core, what it is diluting the brand may well be to many just snobbery. Ah, a lot of it it is little more than human nature I guess. PS : Klassic.. I have to ask is a "Rustang" a Roush Mustang or just a rusty one? PPS : on a dif note, today is my birthday, 59, someone asked "how old" and I had to think for a few secs before answering; do not think that ever happened when I was 7. I should be in rare form 20 years from now.My excuse is I used to get more than one card then. and word for the day...UMBRAGE um·brage ˈəmbrij/Submit noun 1. offense or annoyance. "she took umbrage at his remarks" synonyms: take offense, take exception, be aggrieved, be affronted, be annoyed, be angry, be indignant, be put out, be insulted, be hurt, be piqued, be resentful, be disgruntled, go into a huff, be miffed, have one's nose put out of joint, chafe Edited March 7, 2014 by rikker

When you start picking on your own kind, that has to be the worst case of low self esteem that I have ever seen. :toetap05: PS : Klassic.. lucky dawg
I must admit that I do have a Caterham jacket. It can be a definite conversation starter with that rare person who knows what it is.
DeanG
My wife & I have matching Lotus jackets with our names embroidered over the pockets. Is that too Porsche. Which brings me to the question if Porsche is a two syllable word (Porsch-a) is Corvette a three syllable word (Kor-vett-e)?
