Paul Hill
I'm snickering here Shane... I find it humorous that the 2 least likely to be looking for another car seem to be the 1st to complain when Dundee is slow with his sales post on Saturday. Thanks Croc! Croc
But I had a good reason to be late yesterday! I was at NJMP working to finalize the web sign up pages for the Sevens Event in July, dropping parts off at TJ's for the Holden reconditioning, and having yet another builder discussion on that infernal garage plus checking on my cars all on top of the world's worst drive on the NJ turnpike in yesterdays heavy rain. Hopefully I can get a car out next weekend as the rain washed all the salt off the roads! No surprise Shane is here surfing - the only other thing the invalid can do right now is bonsai the tail of the family's pet cat!
Paul Hill
Ya hear that whine Shane.... Some guys can rationalize anything. But if we pulled any little thing we.would be vilified for life, stoned at the pillory! I tell ya Shane, life just ain't fair....
Paul Hill
Croc Maybe we should pass the hat, take up a collection to power his gurney? Of course, 1st it would need a cage!
xcarguy
. . . . . No surprise Shane is here surfing - the only other thing the invalid can do right now is bonsai the tail of the family's pet cat! Oh sure........go ahead........hit a man while he's flat on his back. :deadhorse: Paul........better stay in my corner; this may get ugly. :boxing: I'm wheeling out to the shop; time to design a cage for my fancy hospital bed. :smash: Now where in the hell did that cat run off to? :jester:
Croc
Have you forgotten to take your meds again Shane? Do I need to parachute Hilda in for a heavy landing to deal with you? Why have you not caught that cat yet?

Jesse D
BringATrailor has a nice Westfield Eleven up in this week's auction- don't know if that has been mentioned yet.
Croc
Thank you to Jesse D - BAT Westfield looks really nice - link here http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-westfield-lotus-eleven-twin-cam/ Located in NY. It has a twink engine which requires the rather masculine "power bulge" on the hood that regular Lotus Eleven's or even Westfield Eleven's that ran the MG Midget drive train did not have. I personally prefer it without the power bulge but then that means losing half the hp....tough choice. Still one of the nicest looking cars. Bidding at $20k and my bet it will end up around $30k. Twin cam engines are something like $10k now for fresh well built specimens I think? Quite a few Sevenistas commenting on that car. Are they on this forum? Then BAT also has a 1936 Austin Seven Special for $25k http://bringatrailer.com/2015/03/20/one-off-prototype-period-built-1936-austin-seven-special/ Quite Sevenesque. I don't believe the 10hp claim. I have driven a 1929 Austin Seven (my Aunt's car she has owned for 40 years) and there is plenty of hp to keep up with average everyday around the streets traffic. Painfully hair trigger clutch in these cars made worse by the lack of travel to sense the take up point. Should be enough hp for Xcarguy now that Robin is selling his Stalker. The 2007 Superlight R is back. First auction stopped around $30k with a BIN of $47500. Relisted with the same BIN of $47500 and bidding at $30k again with 5 days to run. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-R-/181695240584?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a4de15988&item=181695240584 2007 Caterham Superlight-R S3 Chassis (Listed as 1967 as E Bay wouldn't recognize Vin). This is no ordinary caterham. The car was spec'd and built with all the best options available at the time. The car has only 1,750 miles on it and is in better than new condition. Any little bugs have been sorted and the car drives perfectly. The paintwork is excellent, everything works as it should. The car is loaded with carbon, seats, dash, wings, mirrors etc.. Engine is a tuned 2.0L Ford Ztec putting out 275 hp (Thats R500+ Territory). Car comes with all the weather equipment, side doors and roof. Somehow I doubt the 275hp claim in a Zetec. I would be verifying the build sheets for that engine even before I ask for the dyno sheets. Steep BIN price... A 1969 Lotus Seven S3 in Canada http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-/191540797144?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2c98b89ed8&item=191540797144 This 1969 Lotus Seven is the best restored we’ve ever seen, and the best driving we’ve ever taken on the road. It was completely restored by Super 7 Cars Inc. in Chemainus BC - the only Authorised Caterham Super 7 manufacturer in Canada and an expert on the real Lotus Seven cars. The previous owner told us he spent over $30,000 on the restoration. Like many original Sevens, it does have some Caterham parts, installed when restored. There aren’t many Lotus Sevens in completely original condition anymore. We are told this is a two-owner car from new, and classic car guru, Rudi Koniczek, in Victoria BC, claims to remember working on this car in the mid-1970s (there weren’t that many of them on the island back then). The engine was upgraded to a Lotus twin-cam with dual weber carbs. BIN of US$32500 and bidding at $9k with 6 days to go. 1969 Arch Chassis Lotus Seven replica based off an Arch chassis sold by Dave Bean is back up for sale again. Genuine Arch chassis but not a Caterham produced car. The car is a 1969 Lotus Super Seven Series III replica car. The owner was managing FASPEC in Portland, Oregon in the late 70’s when he met Tom W. McBurnie who was creating the Sceptre Motor Car Company of Goleta, California (later to be famous for creating the Ferrari Daytona Replica used in the Miami Vice TV Series). McBurnie needed MG Midget Doors and Windshields for his cars and FASPEC was glad to oblige. McBurnie had also purchased one of the frames built for Lotus by Arch Motors, one of many suppliers that were left holding stock that was not delivered because the Seven was sold to Caterham in 1973. Dave Bean ended up with some of these chassis and was selling them. During a stressed cash flow moment, McBurnie offered the frame to Bob at FASPEC. A brief discussion of values ensued and the chassis was sold for $2500. A very quick trip evolved and the frame was picked up in 1979. Several months transpired and Bob got a second phone call from McBurnie, would Bob be interested in a Twin Cam Lotus engine and close ratio transmission rebuilt by Dave Bean for his car? Arm wrestling ensued and a deal was made for the Elan Drive Train. Another quick trip and the parts were starting to come together. A Ford Cortina rear end (3.90) was sourced, needed parts accumulated or built and by 1982, the car was running (we have receipts for everything plus pictures of the chassis and car as it was put together). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-/281633754267?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4192ae0c9b&item=281633754267 When it was listed on Ebay before I thought there was a BIN of $35k - cannot recall right now. Bidding is at $15k with 4 days to run. Westfield Megabusa still listed on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-Westfield-Megabusa-Race-Trim-/331508801669?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4d2f76e085&item=331508801669 2001 build. $25k buy it now or make offer. Owner is a keen autocrosser. Admits to some cosmetic issues but good mechanically. 2000 Caterham in San Francisco. BRG, Zetec with T9. Dealer car. Repeat visitor to this thread. Fairly basic spec. This is one of the many professionally designed replicas of the 1962 Lotus 7. The car was designed in Florida and is known as a 'Super Stalker' Frame was built in 2011 and car was assembled and completed in Arizona in 2012. The Super Stalker uses an L32 motor which is supercharged and fuel injected. This car has been dyno'd to ensure tune and engine were performing as advertised. Horsepower is 260 and torque is 280 ft. lbs. Car will be sold with many spare parts and a collection of tires and wheels. Wheels: 9 15x7 aluminum alloy wheels that have a set of street tires on 4 wheels. A set of high grip, DOT legal tires on 4 wheels. That gives the car a HP to weight ratio that is equal to or higher than many high end sports cars available on the market today. This Super Stalker has power steering and a 5 speed manual transmission. Driving the car feels and controls similar to other production model cars until you get on the throttle and feel the braking. This is a serious performance automobile. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4934006056.html Asking $28000 Locost in NC with automatic transmission. Nice color! Paul Hill
Croc Did you and I both miss Robin's ad to give away Shane's beast? From what I heard it reads: Free to anyone in need of a lobotomy. Has caused enough trouble in our home, time to move it on to the 1st caller. Ask for Robin, Shane does not get a vote of this family decision. Needs small repairs before it can resume it's widow maker role.

Chin up Mate, don't feed into the hate... Lol Glad your doing better... Thanks, Steve. Feeling better already. Spoke to Hilda; said she was paying Dundee a surprise visit.........and when she left, she was spouting some rhetoric in German about driving up there in a high-powered Porker and bringing him one very ‘pissed off cat’. :smilielol5: As for Paul, Suave said he’d take care of it. Said he knows some people up north that owe him few favors.
