See everyone on the 3rd....

Steve,

With that fancy nose cone, has anyone ever took your S1 for a Donkervoort? Looking forward to seeing an S1 again in July.

Sorry it's taking so long to get the registration info to you guys. We are just waiting for the track to get back to us with the cost of the Thursday night BBQ. The initial quote was not acceptable and Mike and I have asked them to rework their numbers. :toetap05: We are hoping that they get the info to us tomorrow so that we can complete and send you the link for registration. Hang in there. Won't be long now til the :party:starts. Happy Memorial Day!! :flag::flag: Tom

Just a quick update - I am exhausted after my track day at Donington Circuit in the UK :cool dude: We have finalized the last organizational details and are just trying to make Motorsportreg.com behave for allowing you to register for both days simultaneously - it currently won't. If not this week our email for registration will be next week. Thanks for your patience.

The advantage of doing it this way is everything is organized upfront so no surprises which I believe is important.

As for Donington - you have to try it! A truly epic (repeat....epic!!!) circuit notwithstanding the fairly big gardening event I initiated after my gear lever came off in my hand while changing from 5th to 6th at a high rate of speed. Blokko has the after result photo for my embarrassment! :svengo:

Thanks for the NJMP update. And, 'As for Donington', any incriminating video? :jester:

Sorry but no video of when I suddenly developed a flappy paddle gearbox. I only install cameras once I know I can turn a decent lap as thats when the video benefits of coaching myself really come good. So that is usually the afternoon session on a brand new circuit to me.

Got it Roman! So we now have 2 Stalkers, 2 Superformance S1s, 14 Caterhams and 1 WCM Ultralight. That makes 19 sevens for the track.

Everything is set on the planning end. We are still having issues with the Motorsportreg registration, trying to get all the track and dinner options to list properly, but Mike thinks that it will be sorted out this week and we will send out the link to those who responded. Thanks for your patience. Tom

Why do I feel slightly out numbered? :jester:

Shane, with 14 caterhams, we probably still don't have as many cubic inches or horsepower combined as just you and Mario have. :svengo:

I've always heard that bigger is better. :jester:

Roman - Sorry I missed your call. It was midnight in the UK and I was off dreaming of the perfect lap without gardening. Tom might be easier to reach this week if you need to chat to him.

Hey, guys,

I want to step slightly away from the humorous side of myself for a moment and fill you all in on the month of May since this could very well affect our coming to NJMP or, at the very least, what we, as a family, will be able to do once there. Firstly, up front, yes, we are still planning to attend NJMP and are very much looking forward to meeting everyone and having a blast while there. During the month of May, we spent 17 days in the hospital with our eight year old daughter. After an MRI, a bone scan, an echo cardiogram, multiple x-rays, an interventional radiology (IR) bone biopsy, an invasive general surgery bone biopsy, an assortment of blown IV’s, multiple blood draws (sticks, as she calls them), lots of staff head-scratching while trying to nail down exactly what she had, a discharge, a readmission less than 48-hours later, a med change due to a drug-induced fever, unbearable pain, lots of sleepless nights and a truck load of hospital food, she is now home with a peripherally inserted central catheter (picc line) and is receiving antibiotics once a day via Mom and Dad for what the doctors believe is osteomyelitis (a bone infection). As anyone can guess, there is much more to this story, but that’s the short version. ‘HOPEFULLY’ the picc line will be a four-to-six week process, and, if weekly checkups and blood draws continue to trend in the right direction as they are now doing, we will arrive at NJMP PICC LINE FREE!!! However, the IV antibiotic she is currently on (daptomycin, one of the strongest on the market) does have a couple of unavoidable side affects; muscle deterioration and the fact that the sun and antibiotics do not mix well will limit her time trackside as well as her activities for the day. Anyway, that’s where we are and what we are up against. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and here’s to seeing all of you on the 4th . . . . .

VERY stressful for everyone, I am sure! As parents, we feel responsible for everything involving our kids, and here it is easy to feel completely helpless. I am happy to hear that a dx has been achieved and tx begun. Fingers crossed! I know all of us on the Forum are rooting for her.
