Thanks, guys,

Also, let me reassure all that our travel plans for the summer have been discussed in depth with the medical staff who attended her during her stay. We have always been a 'traveling' family during the summer and the medical staff, upon her second discharge from the hospital, saw no immediate problem (ALL things considered) with us being able to carry on with our summer commitments.

Mike,

Thanks. We will beat this thing.

I've been away for a short while and just read of your ordeal. Yes, your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I would go bonkers if I had such a situation with one of my kids or grandkids. I can see how important it is for you to remain strong and in control to prevail in this ordeal. I would not be thinking of the NJMP event while dealing with this but if you can make the trip, it means your 8 year old daughter is well and progressing out of this dilemna and all is happy and well. So I sincerely hope to see you there with your entire family smiling and happy, and we'll be happy with you. Best of luck to you in dealing with this. I know luck won't enter the equation but it can't hurt either.

Klasik-69,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Daughter is progressing well. There are a couple of perimeters we are watching which indicate she is moving in the right direction. One is her Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (sed rate) and the other is her C-reactive protein (crp). The number value of both are trending downward (very good). The tie breaker for NJMP will be her picc line; traveling long distance with it will be too inconvenient. We are hopeful that she will be done by the end of June so she can enjoy her summer. Moving on with summer travel plans is an attempt at our house to press ahead with 'normal'.

A quick update our daughter. Home health services came on Monday for a blood draw and a cleaning/redressing of the picc line. Lab results on Tuesday resulted in a continuing decline in sed rate and crp numbers. The trend was good enough to warrant NO followup doctor's visit this week in Little Rock. :hurray:

I just caught up on my 7s reading. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter. I look forward to meeting her in July.

Oh yeah, we look forward to meeting her parents as well.

Yes, the word is "FRUSTRATING" :deadhorse:

NJMP uses Motorsportreg.com for it's registration process and it works pretty well usually. They have set up a registration for our group with all the event, and dinner options so that you can register and pay in one simple process. We tested it and unfortunately we found that it would not let us select Both track days at the same time. We thought that they could simply rectify this, but as of this afternoon it's still not cooperating.

I think Mike want's to give it one more try or we will surrender and probably have everyone do it in two steps. Sorry for the delay. We didn't expect this issue.

Tom

Ok - we are a go! Thank you for your patience.

Drivers and their Families/Companions

For those who will be driving at this event, emails containing registration links will go out today. If you do not get an email then please let Tom or I know. This registration will allow drivers and their families/companions/friends/visitors/FWB/etc to sign up for all items that they wish to participate in. There is a lengthy document with all background information that should be read prior to registering. If you have questions then we are happy to answer in advance prior to your registering.

Non-Driving Visitors/Participants

For those who have expressed interest in joining in this event as a non-driver then we will send you an email offline from sevensarefun@gmail.com containing the same package of information and a price list for each meal/event/item so you are not left out of the fun. You will be able to pay by check to NJMP or by paypal in advance. If you register as a visitor to the HPDE events it entitles you to breakfast and lunch on the day. Registered visitors are also permitted to be passengers to instructors in a seven during a HPDE session. Open passenger seats are assigned first in first served. There are expected to be 2-3 sevens with instructors during this event so bring your (closed face) helmet and we will try to accommodate you (no guarantees but we will try). If you are looking at buying a seven, an event like this is perfect for checking out different manufacturers and their specifications.

Cheers

Mike

Got the email & related attachments. I see 4 run groups. Prior discussion left me to think we would all be out together at one time. Apparently this has changed unless we are all in all 4 run groups which doesn't seem likely since the track is live at 9 am and there is novice drivers meeting at 9 am. I like the idea of spreading out the track with smaller run groups but was wondering if this is really what us happening. Are we paying for two or three track days? Karting on day 3 is separate but are we required to pay for track day on Sunday in addition ? Also I assume the $25 guest fee applies for both track days but does it apply for Sunday as well? Yeah, I know, lots of questions. Sorry.

Mike, Questions are good.

The Seven's will all run together in the USA7s run group, except for the one novice driver at this point who will run with the green group to learn the track, car control, passing etc. We are paying for 2 trackdays. However, one of our group is only coming in on Saturday, so they will only pay for Saturday. Karting is separated and that option is available to all. you will pay only the Karting fee not a trackday fee for sunday. Breakfast and Lunch are NOT included in the Karting fee. No guest fee is required for Sunday as Lunch and breakfast are NOT included as above. Tom

Emails have now been sent to all drivers and non drivers who responded with email addresses. If you have not received an email then let Mike or I know and we will try again.

If you have questions, PLEASE ask them. If you are unsure of something you can be certain that others are also unsure and you will be helping us clarify any concerns.

This event is about having fun, meeting other Seven owners, using our cars in a safe environment as they were designed to be used. And again having more fun. It is entirely possible that Mike and I have overlooked something from the perspective of a person not familiar with NJMP or our gathering. Again, Please let us know and we will try to provide a clear answer.

Less than 4 weeks to go now! Tom
