Guy's

I was really looking forward to participating in this years track day unfortunately circumstances have conspired agaist me. The BDR is still in rebuild (I was warned a while ago that it could take some time due to a backlog in the shop doing the work) and a few weeks ago I set out to prep another 1700 crossflow as a backup for the event. To cut a long story short yesterday, after struggling with two crankshaft, two camshafts and quite a few beargings, I called a halt on the proceedings. Due to work commitments I just won't be able to get everything back together (for the third time) and tested in time for the event. That said I will come and take lots of pictures and aim to share the odd beer.

Also I noticed earlier in this thread there were some questions about tech-compliant harnesses. I've got two 2019-certified sets sitting in boxes if anybody needs to borrow for the event.

Best regards,

Stewart

Stewart,

Sorry to hear about your motor but look forward to seeing you again. My offer still stands if you would like to take my car out for a session.

See you soon.

Stewart,

Spoke with Croc today and he told me you have powerplant problems.

Good thing is your still going to attend and for sure we'll have a few pints.

I agree with Mike, The S1 is yours for a session.

See you in two weeks, Steve

Okay, somewhere on here was a post about the best exit to take in Millville (staying at the Fairfield) so as to avoid a sharp RH turn w/ trailer . . . or something to that affect . . . can't find it. Can someone please throw that back on the table? Thanks.

It was in that nice big helpful information memo that some brilliantly intelligent, witty, handsome person wrote that was attached to your registration email....

The email was sent around June 6th and had three attachments, one was a Word doc giving a three or four page rundown with driving directions, the second was a two page PDF file of the track maps, and the third was an Excel file with the day's schedule of track activity. If anyone can't retrieve that email, send me a PM and I'll forward it to you.

Apologies for my slightly grouchy earlier email but I was stuck in hospital on some pretty heavy pain killers.

I resent the registration email from June 6 to Shane and MichaelD which has the relevant attachments showing event organization and navigation instructions. However, while Shane's resent email went through, Michael your resent email is failing to deliver as "domain not found" which suggests your website provider is down. Please PM me a fax number or alternative email address. That said I know you got the original June 6 email as you were able to register with the link that it only available in that email.

Paul - Just got your email and sent out the packet. Thanks for following up. You were in the original distribution email but something went astray somewhere. Let me know if you do not receive the email package this time.

Calling Paul - more emails sent plus a PM with my phone number. I am doing this as you are not getting any of my messages from any of the 3 email accounts I have.

Grouchy? . . . Nonsense! You were just being yourself. :smilielol5: Besides, I'm the one that started all this by asking for directions when they were right in front of me the whole time, which solidifies the belief that men should NEVER ask for directions. :smilielol5:

Now, about those pain killers . . . . you were saying . . . . ? :D

. . . . . .

Just a heads up for those that have not registered that from July 2 onwards there is a late fee applied to HPDE registration of $25 per day. I know a few people are trying to time their credit cards but don't leave it too late.

For those non driving visitors who have to sign up offline through Tom and myself, please make sure you do let us know you when you are coming and what events. If you do not then you will not be on the security list at the main gate which would be a problem if you want to join us inside....

If you listed your visitor in motorsportreg.com you are fully covered as security gets that list (even if you put TBD like one person did).

Just a week away now. So change your oil, wash the car and wax those Slicks!!! We are all set on the track and planning end. Heard from a few others that their cars are now set, with the exception of Sabbot, who will attend as a spectator now as his BDR is not back together yet. Although he has several offers that might allow him to get out for a few sessions on track.

We have a good sign up both drivers and spectators.

For the last few that haven't yet registered, just let us know if you are still planning on attending so that we can give the track a heads up on the catering requirements. You can respond via the gmail account if you prefer. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and can't wait for the festivities to begin. See you very soon. Tom

Tom

Tom, and others,

Still forging ahead to be there. Was hoping to be registered by the weekend, but still awaiting a confirmed head count. I should be registered by Monday afternoon/evening at the latest. Right now, my father will be attending with me. I sure hope someone can give him a right seat thrill ride; he's never done/been to anything like this before.

Shane . . . . . :flag:

After today I have a vague sense of possibly something called optimism that the CSR will be ready for next week along with the maroon Caterham. Both have arm restraints to strap in passengers for a session ride! :D

That said the Mustang dirtied herself yesterday on the Lightning track while chasing a C7 Corvette that did not want to let me past and blew a rear axle seal...sigh....if it is not one car it is the other. :bs:

So its Shane's father, Sebastien's wife, Jack, Pete's daughter and....who else needs to get a passenger ride? I need to probably sort out a roster so no one misses out. I can take people, Tom maybe (his car grounds out with a passenger since it is so low ) and possibly JeffH.
