There is a very nice feature article on Jack Tripp's beautifully-restoreed 1963 Cosworth S2 in Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car Magazine, October, 2014 issue.

Perhaps it is fairly unusual to see an S2 restored to this degree of authenticity -- I'd hate to take it lout on the road!

Apparently the next issue of HS&CC will describe in detail the restoration of this car. Can't wait!

That was "out on the road." Damned auto spell-check!

You had us at lout. :jester:

I haven't seen the referenced issue of HS&EC, but I have no doubt that the car shown in the magazine is a fine example.

In the realm of high quality / nicest restoration, I would nominate this one formerly owned by F1 driver Piers Courage:

Side note: The s/n of the Courage car is 2 units before my '62. Mine isn't nearly as nice. But it is steeped in patina.

Interesting how many of the signature design points of the S2 are carried over in the current Caterham/Birkin.

Ron: lets see some Pix!

Tom: If you hadn't corrected your post, I wouldn't have noticed, I had to go back and reread it(:.

What's wrong with the front fender... That can't be right, can it?

Yes, that front fender is correct. This pic was taken just after a standing start, so it is not deflected by aero forces:

That front fender looks to be the type that is mounted to the chassis rather than the upright. It won't move up and down or left and right with the wheel.
