  1. Dan, The builder of Stalker chassis #30 purchased a set of 15x7 Panasports to fit a 5 lug on 4-3/4 pattern. The back space should be 3-1/2" (6mm offset). I know he had to order them and I think they came from CA. I personally had talked to a dealer from PA in 2004 at the Kit Car Nationals in Carlisle and he indicated that he could get them for us. Jack
  2. Welcome Dan, Actually there are a good number of Stalker owners on this site. As a matter of fact, the Stalker was also well represented at last year's 7-7-7 event at the Tail of the Dragon. That was the 50th birthday party of the Lotus 7 celebration. Have you made it up to Fred's yet? Jack
  3. Hey Bob, While you are at Big Cedar Lodge, check out trailer parking options. It has be nearly 20 years since I have been to BCL with the family and we loved it. First class facility even 20 years ago and I think things have only improved. Jack
  4. You can resize manually with Preview on your MAC. Jack
  5. Looks to me like it was designed by a committee.
  6. Kitcat, I'm at 17287 and put the first mile on it in August 2003. I use to drive it to my office once or twice a week on nice days which was over 70 miles round trip. Now semi-retired and work out of my house. Maybe that means I will have more time to put some serious miles on it!!! By the way. I hope to head over to the Queen City a time or two this Summer to check on a good friend's progress with his new SuperStalker build. He lives in West Chester. Jack
  7. eVox, I am pretty sure it would be Paul Whittle from Alpharetta. I could see it in the background of the second photo from last year. If it was gray and black, it would be him for sure. Heck of a nice guy if you have the opportunity to meet him. Jack
  8. With very little effort you can get near 300HP. Two of us put our Stalkers on the dyno yesterday at an SCCA open house here in Indy. I can vouch for the near 250 HP and he did not run it all the way up. His rev limiter is set at 5K and he was no where near that. The amazing thing is the torque...It is so flat you can't believe it. All the autocross guys were freaking out. The Supestalker in question that is for sale is an exceptional build. I followed Tim's build of his chassis #56 and he spared no expense. It is as close to an original Se7en concept (except for the drive train) as you will ever find down to the forward tilt of the FIA roll bar. You would not be throwing money away at $30K. He was meticulous in his assembly and execution. I think he is wanting to finish his Cobra...Sell it and build another SuperStalker. Jack

  10. I volunteered to run an errand to the corner grocery store...It took me 2-1/2 hours...Great day at 65° here in Indy. Jack
  11. I run with Brooklands a lot and I wear prescription glasses. In addition I will wear ski goggles if it is chilly or over the glasses safety glasses on normal days or full face helmet when it is really chilly. You do get some funny looks with the helmet deal. Jack
  12. Hi Ken, I thought of that shortly after making the post. Hopefully Frank will make contact with some of our AZ members. Jack
  13. Frank, Welcome aboard. We have a number of Stalker V6 owners that live in AZ; Bill Bradley, Gilbert, AZ; Ken Edney, Chandler, AZ; Dale Wiley, Sierra Vista, AZ and Craig Earls, Tucson, AZ. Most of them own and drive the 3.8L SuperStalkers. No matter what you end up with...They are all fun. Jack
  14. Martin, I agree with John on tire pressure. I run 18 PSI all the way around on my 1500# Stalker, 205/50x15, Falken RT-615 street tires. Auto-x I drop down to 13 and 14 PSI on 13" dia. Hoosier slicks. Jack
  15. Mandurath, Here is some more information on the mirrors and additional photos. The Multivex mirror is flat for the inner 50 - 60 % to give an undistorted rear view, and then has a decreasing radius convex cure to pick up the blind spot without the mirror being overly large. It was developed for the single seater racing industry to give a good field of view but maintaining the minimum overall size to minimize drag. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1376027857_PICT0024.JPGhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1122297473_PICT0021.JPGhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/943274055_PICT0022.JPGhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1336064328_image001.jpg
  16. Here is a photo of the mirror if you do not want to go to the Stalker Gallery link http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1088902557_Se7enSpaMirror.jpg Sorry, should have done this when I posted initially. Jack
  17. I have a great friend and fellow Stalker V6 owner, Mark Scott located here in Indianapolis, that is making custom "Spa" type mirrors for Se7ens. Check out the photo on his album in the Stalker V6 gallery. He does not stock the mirrors but they are built to order in his shop for about $235 a pair. This may seem like a lot, however the lenses are Multivex convex mirrors and they are unbelievable. Mark also builds mirrors for IRL and Champ car applications for a heck of a lot more than this and that does not include the lense. I have a set that I will be adding to my Stalker. The Multivex lenses are the best I have ever seen....Very panoramic and used by many race teams. The body of the mirror is Poly and can be painted to match your car or any color you want. He can be contacted directly at his company, Prototype Development, LLC or check out his web site . Mark will even build a turnkey car if you wish or complete race car restorations. Jack

  19. John, Welcome aboard!! I think you will find this group to be a lot of fun and very helpful. Hope to see you and your original Seven at the 2008 Lotus Owners Gathering, LOG 28, in Indianapolis this summer. You have no excuse not to come, Lansing is not that far from Indy. Check out the Indianapolis Lotus web site www.IndyLotus.com and go to the LOG 28 section. This is annual Lotus Ltd event that moves around the country. Last year it was in Aspen and the year before in Dallas. I attended my first LOG in St. Louis in 2005. Hope to meet you and your family then. Jack
  20. Andy, How close are you to VIR? You may want to consider this option to try a SuperStalker at speed. http://www.rent-a-racecar.net/gpage5.html If road racing is your thing, this might be an option to really ring one out. Jack
  21. It is...Just ask a SuperStalker owner with their 350hp+ L67 super charged GM V6s. Better yet, see if you can hitch a ride in one. Jack
  22. Hey Ken, Heck we do 250 miles a day in our Stalkers at our Stalker Ambush events with no problem. We stop often to stretch, site see and eat. Most of the participants are ~50 + including my wife and I. We do that for a week at a time. Go for it..!!! Jack
  23. I voted for the Ozarks. Location is fairly central and the area is great. One of our best family vacations was spent at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake for a week. The surrounding countryside had lots to offer with great roads. We did not spend much time in the town of Branson it's self; a liittle to "touristy" for my taste, but has lots to offer for families with children. Jaunts down to NW Arkansas are easy and close by. One of the best BBQ joints I have ever been to was near Oak Grove, AR. My daughters and wife did not want to get out of the car because the place looked so bad. However, the fancy cars in the parking lot and awesome smell of hickory smoke was sending a different message to my son and I. We all had to laugh when we saw a sign nailed to the front door of the establishment which read..."Even my mom is afraid to come in here". The place was decorated "on purpose tacky" but the food fantastic. I wanna' go back!!! Jack
  24. Hey Mazda, Got the watches today. Thanks for the quick service. I must say I am impressed with the quality....Looks great!! Penny likes hers also. Will be giving the third one a s a gift and I know the recipient will be pleased. Thanks again for all your efforts and may 2008 be a great year for you and your family....Can't wait to see the refurbished Frankin7. Jack
  25. Hey Glenn, It's kind of an odd feeling to have your eyeballs stuck in the back of your head, isn't it. I know you enjoyed your visit with the Florida Brunton clan. Snowed in Chicago this week. Jack
