  1. Well I made it down to Cars and Coffee today to just check it out and learn the lay of the land as some say and I have to say that for an overcast day (almost a rain / drizzle) I was very surprised at the number of car that were their today considering the weather. Here is a link to some photos that I took and I hope you enjoy them. Oh their were between 50 and 60 Ferrari's plus numerous others but no 7's this time but next week their will be one at least in attendance. http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/CarsAndCoffeePhotos
  2. Is that not the TRUTH:iagree:  :yesnod:
  3. Wild is not the word. If that truck ever stops in that sand I wounder how they would get it out as it would sink from the weight I would think.
  4. Someone had to set up a camera with a motion activated shuder for that sequence. That fox is or has one sore rearend I would bet, look at the talons on that EAGLE. The Fox is lucky it was not dinner I would suspect.
  5. Mo needs a biger leaver to torque that nose it looks like.....:jester: :jester:

  8. Harold, I can not help you with the wiring but that wire that you show as B+ has what is called a single weather pack connector attached to the end and is the male end so if you get the female end and attache it to what ever it goes to you will have a very nice weather proof connector to what ever it goes. You should be able to buy weather pack connectors at most auto supply stores and the come in all sizes and shapes.
  9. Keith your just world famous and they are upset that you have a 7 type car that is half the cost of theirs and just as much fun if not more...like mine
  10. You have to have experanced this place (Trafalgar Square) to understand what it took to make it happen....Very Cool.... UPDATE WITH CORRECT LINK....Sorry

  13. Hi haiku88, Sorry for hijacking this post folks but haiku88 due you have any photos of your build before you gave away as I built mine from an MGB and would like to see how someone else made it work. If so could you PM me with a link to them.
  14. No that is the price:crazy: for the RICH GRINGO who can not read or speak our unofficial national language which I know makes me sound like a raciest and I am not of Spanish Decent but of German/Italian Lineage.
  15. Glad I am not that Senator as he is going to catch a lot of flak for not being prepared.....but at least he did not say something that would have been a miss quote (lie) about the Candidates accomplishments....This should be an interesting Presidental Race in the end.
  16. Kitcat, Basicly it is all of the points that attach the suspension (upper an lower a-arms at frame and spindle) to the frame for the front and rear, steering would be the bolts that attach the rack and steering shaft, pedal assy the bolts and nuts that hold the pedals in their brackets, throtle linkage to the carb (also lets me check for fuel leaks), all in all anything I feel is critical to safety or my survival is either cotter pinned or safety wired or paint striped.
  17. You might also want to paint stripe nuts and bolts with a yellow or red or what ever color you like so that you can do your walk-a-round and see if anything has come loose by looking at the stripe. If it has backed off the stripe will be broken and miss alined. Finger nail polish works well and even has a very small brush for the application. Here is what I have been using and find it works very nicely, http://www.durablesupply.com/mediumpoint.html I keep one in each of my tool boxs so that I always have it. I stripe all suspension nuts and bolts, pedal attachment bolts, throtle linkage hardware, oil drain plugs and all steering nuts and bolts. I also do a quick walk around before every time I get the car out of the garage and after all very spirited driving and look for those stripes and lok for the following, 16 on front suspension, 6 on the steering system, 10 on the rear suspension, 3 on the pedal assy and it mabe takes 15 min for me to do this walk around. Hope this helps.
  18. :iagree: If you look closely I think the box is a BEER Crate and if he drank all the beer to make the body then he might not feel the road rash for a day or two:d
  19. I personally like the BLOWN METRO with the painted flames. I think the reason that the CHP is not all over Cars and Coffee is the fact that it is mostly older money and really expensive cars whose owner’s most likely pay more for insurance per year and higher registration fees than most people make in a month even out here in SoCal. (Example; 2003 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Registration initial fee when brought into the state in 2005 with 39756 miles on the OD was [sit down if your not from Calif] $2865.34 US and no that is not a typo...2000 Subaru Outback with 78421 miles on the OD was $428 US. This year for the truck registration it was only $494 and the Outback was $186. Best part my 7 was only $86 this year as it is titled as a 1963 and smog exempt. These are Registration fees only for the state and most cars still need to have smog certificates which cost more.) PS: I still have family in Chester County Pa. close to Rt 100 an Rt 131 North of Downingtown Pa.
  20. Looks like a much more refined Atom (you know that other car....)

    Got wood?

Ok. "Splinter" might be appropriate as I do not think I would want to be the first person to hit a pot-hole with a suspension made of wood let alone riding on wheel centers that are wood with that type of HP being put to the ground. It is good looking though wonder if it floats.
  22. That is funny.
  23. Well for all of you that are on the east cost and have snow on the ground. Enjoy.. This happens almost every weekend unless their is rain.
  24. Besides maybe owning an oil rig or two to pay for it, an all those tires that one will spin into oblivion, also the tickets one would get while having fun spinning those tires that would be one hell of a TOY if only I could affort it and keep the house an wife an dog an the list just goes on.
