Tom that is beautiful and I suspect is worth more than my 7 by a long long shot. I learned (attempted) to play a cornet in grade school and through high school but have not played one in years. My kid brother wound up with my horn which his sons have learned to play as my brother did. Again Very Nice.
-
Your correct that is funny unless you are that crew.
-
Now that is quite the endorsement for your Flyin'Miata Westfield. Very nice indeed.
-
Googled Ryan Leech and that kid is something else. I am now ashamed to even go ride my mountain bike on the local trails after seeing what he can do and he makes it look so easy. The one video I watched is filmed in Portland, Or. and I have actually gone by several of the places he was riding and I would have never though anyone could due what he dose.....riding a chain between railings....just amasing.

So ture. One of the best things that a parent can do for their kids when they get to the age of driving is to have them attend a professional driving school or an auto-x driving school or even a karting school. It teaches them a lot more than just how to drive a car. It shows them just how little they realy know about the mechanics of driving. Skip Barber has a great school and so dose Pro-Drive among others.

Mazda, What do you mean you saw the mother of all donuts at the auto-x in MD that I was at this past summer. Remember when Boxologist (Jon) went spinning through the finish timing lights at the end of his run (even though it was unintentional) and they had to move the lights out further to insure no one else would eat them like a cone.:jonautox:

Those guys have way to much time on their hands.

Could not afford one in the late 60's an early 70's and then career and family kept the ownership of a 7 in the background till the late late 90's. Went looking to buy and found that buying a new Caterham was out of the question for my wallet at the time so started looking for a well used one to rebuild and drive. Found that was going to even more expensive so decided to build my one for my self from scratch after looking at a cut-a-way of a Lotus 7 in a book. Used an MGB for the major components and wound up buying a nose cone, two seats, the gas tank and the little things like lights and switches built the rest and stayed well under what I had planed for a budget to buy and restore a used 7 which kept the wife very happy. So what would I due differently? I would not wait the 25 or so years that I did and would buy or build one to enjoy it while one is growing UP (if we ever do grow up) and if that meant eating a lot of PB&J or working Saturdays for a couple of years then that is what I would due. I am not sure if I would build my own again or just buy a new Caterham as the Caterham’s are really very refined and beautiful machines, not that my car is not, in its own way but it is not as refined and who would not want a Caterham Superlight R400 if one has the money to spend on a fun car. -
I bet the jury laughed at those two when they went to court and the jury saw that video.

Though I would post this to let everyone know about it. :7drive: BRITISH CAR DAY Winter Version AT CARS AND COFFEE 7905 Gateway Blvd., Irvine, CA 92618 At the Ford Design Center WILL BE SATURDAY, MARCH 08, 2008 From our friends at Ford: “Ford will have their top design executives from Ford worldwide coming here for a design review in March. Several of them are coming from England, and are keen enthusiasts of the cars we all love -- Healeys, Triumphs, Jaguars, Morgans, etc. We'd like the date for British Cars Day to be Saturday, March 8, and we will invite the design execs to come in for the weekend to join Cars & Coffee. I'm sure they will provide lots of interesting conversation for the participants!” And a Second 2008 British Car Day! THE SPRING BRITISH CAR DAY AT CARS AND COFFEE WILL BE SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2008.

I guess but I do know that most race orginizations require the switch to be a single unit to prevent the posability of the car running after the switch is thrown. Here is another site with the correct switch. http://www.discoveryparts.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?cart_id=1201539834.589&product=battery&pid=449

Mazda your very correct and if your going to make it SCCA legal you will need one like this that is much more expensive. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/6967,71_Four-Post-Battery-Disconnect-Switch.html?itemNo=battery%20cutoff%20switch

Yes plus you can remove the key from the switch.

New shifter knob, Wheel knock-off center covers, and the grin on your proud face. So do I get the rest of that half case of beer that Gert gets one bottle of......
-
That is just plain funny especially were the camera operator wipes the lense of the camera from the smoke.
-
Don't laugh Rob as I know of a BobCat that has one in plane sight and one hooked up in a hidden compartment to help prevent it from being stolen from the job site that it is left at when needed. Very cheap way of preventing the local yahoos from messing with the equipment.
-
Mazda is on the money with his statment that your car is very close to finished. Very nice looking to boot. Were did you get your grill and wheel centers.
-
That is just insane... Very Cool...
-
Is that not what the passenger is for..... in an ELISE or 7.
-
I have to agree with Gert about the rocks in the cockpit. As you can see I made my fenders to try and keep as much debree from hitting the passanger compartment as possible but you still get pelted with some objects and will definatly get sprayed with water if making a turn through a puddle so my sugestion is also place them where you find the fenders the most appealing to you. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1936177854_DSCN1820.JPG My rear fenders are made to eat cones from time to time. :jonautox:

Looking for help! From Mazda harassing me!
MHKflyer52 replied to BobDrye's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Hi Bob, I have to agree with you about Mazda's 7 being MENACING in its apperance but most of that is from the width of the tires and the rumble of those eight cylinders under the hood, but it also is a very relaxing car when you look at the center console and see the roller-ball mouse between the seats and the computer screen in the dash, http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/942588285_DSCN2211.JPG but this is why it has become known as "FRANKLIN 7" and besides Mazda is a very likeable and friendly person for all of you that have not meet Mazda in real life. Just my first hand experance and belief.:yesnod: -
Is this the fastest human powered object on water?
