How do you cope with frustration and a sense of loss?
MHKflyer52 replied to BusaLoco's topic in Seven Videos
No that is the traffic light that is at that end of the bridge leg for the down hill traffic. He was lucky he did not loose it completely until he was through the arch as the hillside is much more forgiving than the bridge wall. -
Good Idea about a calander but you better get the proper promissions from the owners of those photos that would be used. I would vote for a calander with 8.5x11 photos for each month. I would bet that most of the US venders would even pay for advertizing space. Note: If this were to occure I would volenter my time to help put it together for the forum if the board members decide to give it a try. Here's one I like but I am partial to it and the car. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/499761216_p1010445.jpg

Hi Mazda, Just read this thread and changed to the standard version and now have the new banner, WAY COOL....The yaf.....version seems to give me the old banner the one with Al's car making the turn. Thanks for the great work. -
I agree 100 percent with Bob on the backround colors. :iagree: Great photo Bob by the way.:hurray:
-
Yea when he is going backwards..........:jonautox:

So, tell us a little about yourselves

Hello and glad your part of the group. You will find most of the members will tell you that their cars are a lot like a four wheel motorcycle and just as fun and a lot safer. :) -
Or you could put some small wheels bolted to the bed on each side to use as rollers to assist in those situations. The voice in the back round saying to back up made me laugh and then to see Ayra try it then shut in down. I am supprised that the engine would run that long on it's side with out seezing up from lack of oil:d .
-
:iagree:  Best discription of oil quanity when first walking up to the car I have heard in a long time.

My locost replica 7 weight is 1149 with a full 6 gallon gas tank, no spare or tools. I tell everyone it weighs 1200 lbs with out me in the car when they ask. With me in the car it actually weighs 1369 full of gas (the car not me :jester: ) but again I tell them 1400 lbs.

Very nice looking with all the polished aluminum and the bright yellow hood and nose, I even think the leather trunk is very cool and the 1st one I have seen. Makes my car look sad.

I figured my responce would send someone over the top but I did not mean make anyone jump..... :jester:

Damn, damn, damn, damn, I've grown accustomed to its pace...

HaHaHaHaHa.......:)GREAT:)........jaw hurts now from laughing -
The tow vehicle gives the spouce a way of going shopping while your running your 7 at the track if she dose not want to sit and watch when you will not let her have her turn if she wants to run the 7, it also provides a way to cary all those extera parts and tires to the track or auto-x or to your garage when working on your 7, plus if your trailer that you pull with your tow vehicle is an enclosed one and your cheap like me you can stay in it at most tracks by using it as a mobel hotel room, also provides a secure parking place when traveling and a storage area when home and the biggest reason is most of us are getting (bitting my tounge) older and enjoy the refined comfort of a soft ride after a day of having fun in our 7's. Well at least that is my rationalization for having a tow vehicle and trailer for my 7.

Hi, Try calling your DMV or what ever they call themselves and ask what you would need to due and let them know it is already titled in another state and that you are looking a buying it for yourself. You will need the info from the title sucha s the year that it is titled as so they can tell you what will be required. Example my car was completed in 2005 by me but is titled as a 1963 Lotus 7 Replica here in SoCal. Hope this helps. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/307134563_California Plates for Lotus 7 Replica 0709071854.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1989394791_Key to my 7 1202071630.jpg

Burnt Locosts. Caution! Not for the faint at heart!
MHKflyer52 replied to locost7018's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Man that is just wrong. I would be looking for someone head on a pike and they would hope that the police found them before I found them..... -
Man that looks real good for a low quality cell phone photo. I like the colors as well, blue and silver very sharp. I think you will find that the shock valves might be miss adjusted as with my car when I was playing with them I had a similar bounce from what you described as I ahd the rebound set way to soft and it was like driving a basket ball down the road and was very un-nerving to say the least. Glad to hear you made it home and are now enjoying your new car.

Hi JohnK, I worked for a company call Hi-Temp insulation for a while and they used it in a test application and to my knowledge have not used it for anything else due to it being brittle and heavy for what they produce (think Sputnick an that is all I can say). Their are some other insulators that are even better and thinner and lighter but the expence is very high for a automotive use. Moss Motors sells a heat and sound deadening material that works very very well and is easy to use it is called Dynamat and it's part number is 409-026 and is 4 each at 1x3 ft and cost $114.95 which if used correctly should cover the areas you need to protect from heat. They also have so other sutff 409-015 which is sold by the sheet 48"x72" for $38.95 each. Hope this helps. Martin Keller Ventura, Ca.

Hi JohnK, Here is a link to the product that you want to use. It is a good product but can be heavy in certain applications. http://www.fibrox.com/home.htm From experience it works very well with a reflective surface of foil (face side) and a thin coat of silicone on the back side which also helps keep it together when flexed. Hope this helps.

Hi Mazda, You know when you are done you will have built or should I say re-built your car as if you had started from scratch so besides being called "Franklin 7" will it still be a Rotus or just in spirit and registration. I vote for "Franklin 7 MazdaEbrahimi" as a new designation instead of Rotus. I know it is kind of long but it is definitely unique. -
I bet the driver had to clean his drawers after that......Very lucky to say the least.

1st National Meet Lotus 7 Club (Canada)
MHKflyer52 replied to evotell's topic in General Sevens Discussion
You know that if all the clones and replicas in Canada showed up at their meet along with some of the closer folks from the upper parts of the USA their would be way more 7 type cars than all of the originals in Canada. Sounds like they are kinda stuffy and besides theu are cars that we are all pasionate about so why would they limit their slection of entries.....dose not make sence to me. -
That is one good looking airplane.
-
Man my jaw hurts from laughing so hard.........That is a good one........

new wheels that were never meant to be
MHKflyer52 replied to RGTorque's topic in General Sevens Discussion
The white stiches will show up better on the black stuff that Kitcat is talking about so no need to change the name of Franklin 7.
