This was posted on another forum as being a small car, even smaller than a 7. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=27323891 :iagree:

Wow..Had to watch that twice to see it. Looks like the driver of the car that flipped backoff and got the left front traped in front of the right rear of the car that was along side of it and that caused the flip. One must remember that a 7 is like an open wheel car when in trafic with other 7's....I due belive.

Boy someone caught HELL over that I would bet....:cuss: Da the Parking BRAKE....

Hi Graham, Your car always looks so clean. Very nice. Due you have any closeups of your doors as they are impressive.

Hi All, Well I checked my gauge and it reads within a quarter pound of pressure when used to check tire pressure. The way I checked this is by using another gauge to verify the tire pressure of four tires and then check those four tires with the gauge that I was questioning. I know that is not very scientific but it is the only way I could figure to check the gauge without incurring any expense to me as the gauge cost less than what it would cost to have it calibrated professionally. I guess my car is just different or should I say I am different..... Front tire pressure 21to22psi Rear tire pressure 24to25psi after checking gauge.

Harold, That is one nice engine you have their. Makes mine look like an old pile of junk but I still like it for what it is.

Steve, I do not know if it will be handed to you but I can tell you Tom and his 7 are very fast and smooth and I say that from having watched Tom and his 7 run and having at Aberdeen Md and heard other people at that autocross say that he is the guy to try and beat in his class. If I am not mistaken I think he had the FTD that day and was very smooth and fast, like being on a rail. -
Hi John an All, I have tried lower pressures and my car seemed to be very twichey when running down the road and felt like it was pulseing when in a turn with lower presure which I figured was just the sidewalls flexing. I also have all my tires siped for better grip which might make a differance I feel for the street. My tires are wearing very well and do not show any sign of uneven wear and after spirited driving show that all the tread surface is being used without rolling onto the sidewalls. Maybe I should check my air gauge to see if it is reading the correct pressure as I use the sameone to check my tire pressures on the 7 all the time and it seems to be constant but with all of you saying that the pressures that I am running seem high I now am woundering and will check my gauge for sure and let you all know.

Try playing with your tire presure's. I find that I need to run 22psi in the front and 24 or 26psi in the rear depending on the surface. My cars weight is 1249 lbs and I am running Toyo Sprectum Touring Radials P185/70R14 87S on the street and have used them at a couple of auto-x and they seem to work fairly well for me. I find that if I want to brake the rear loose all I have to due is push on the gas and then the fun begins and when it is wet it is a real fun ride if you want to get crazy.

Very Nice.:iagree: His and Hers or just yours? I like the Orange one but the Mustered Yellow has a Glass Sun Roof which is rare if I am not mistaken. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1540952030_MHKs 1978 Lotus Esprit S2.JPG This was one of my favorite cars back in 1978-79 and I now wish I still had it now but one can not cry over the things that we have had in the past and do not have any more and besides I was a lot younger then and did not really appreciate what I had then.

Mazda and Arya, Looks like Franklin7 is going to be a lot more structural and stronger when you are finished working on it. Nice work and how are you bending all of your tubing, what type of bender do you or is Arya just muscling them. Very nice. -

Watching those BIKINIES mose likely and not the top for a 7..... :jester: :hurray: Have fun it is a great Island to party on. -
Mazda, From a conversation with an Autotester about how they make their cars handle like that this is what he had to say. Hours of practice and a couple of trans's and rear dif's for starters and an occasional rear axle. Tire pressure in the rear as high as the tire is rated for plus some and a hard compound. Suspension settings as stiff as one can make the car. (Most of these cars are not driven on the street at all) Brakes usually have a separate hand brake that works the rear wheel from the normal system so one can lock them together or separately. Fuel system usually has some modifications to it so that fuel is delivered to the engine all the time with out the centrifugal force affecting the delivery. Oil system modified to help prevent starvation from the centrifugal force and the high reving of the motor.

:jester: Maybe the impound lot would be a safe place an the local constabulary would not have to take your car very far if they showed up. :jonautox:

BRITISH CAR DAY AT CARS AND COFFEE SATURDAY, MARCH 08, 2008

Hi Stan, I plan to go to both March 8th and May 10th but still have not decided if I will trailer my car or drive it down. I am leaning towards the trailer at this point because of the freeways as they are not my choice of a fun drive but who knows. -
I like it. The fact that it will lessen the work load on our club officers and make membership tracking more advantagous for the treasurer is great and easy for member to know when their renewal is due. By the way dose the club have it own mailing address, if not maybe one should be discussed by the club officers.

That person has more b's than me just for sitting on that bike.

I worked for a company (a number of years ago) in Sherwood Oregon that made a tree harvester, "The Allied ATH 28 feller-buncher" and it would and could remove branches as large as 9" on a 28" dia. tree and did not care if the tree was straight or curved. Here is a link to what it looks like. http://www.alliedsystemsco.com/ath/ath.htm The loggers did not like it due to the fact that it put a lot of them out of work as a crew of twenty could not fell as many trees in a day as one ATH-28 could in the same time with just one operator.

That is funny. The Cat outside sure has the cat on the inside's number and is really messing with the indoor cats head.

I know what you mean....kinda like a seven in the rain with no top. By the way I keep four large black plastic trash bags folded up under the passenger seat just for those rare times I am out and get stuck in the rain with my car.:7rain:
