http://www.youtube.com/user/bonjo2 I keep promising more video. I really suck at the gopro. Last weekend's fun ended up being all still photos... Ugh. These aren't great, but do show how torque rules and how little the LS needs to work to get the little bastard in triple digits.

Yeah. The TopGear bit, making an old lotus into a modern delta wing, pretty nuts. I've read just about all I can on the design, and really don't see the point for road racing. Maybe big ovals and 200mph.

If only he and his wife would get into the Stalkervoort business.. I would love to drive my car 365-days a year. Tough with no "factory" weather gear and no aftermarket support.

Mike. Best looking Stalker ever! I really like the classic look, color, your work to make fit a finish a priority. Now I want a windshield...

I think the front engine design of the 7 defeats the theory behind the delta wing racer, but this is cool all the same. They took a ratty old seven and really turned it into a work of art. Now, would a bike motor and a lightweight delta wing/locost kit be the ticket for a cool next project? http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/top-gear-nissan-deltawing-finished-2012-06-14

Looks the same as the r600. Same bodywork, ducting etc.. Must be the same intercooler. http://carsdata.net/searches/Caterham-r600/

Wow. That is one serious car. Only a matter of time before an R1000.

Thanks for the feedback. I love the chin spoilers.. I would love to have one for the stalker to cover the exposed frame below the nose. I've some louvers from a previous project that I might add to the hood. Heat rises, and I've only a problem in traffic. I will also put a fiberglass panel in front of the motor to direct radiator heat out the hood vent. At speed I assume it goes out the open sides. The headers really baked my dinoc vinyl hood. Bubbles anyone. Maybe the louvers will help get the heat out. I've also added high flow cats, which get crazy hot and might need some shielding. Now over 1600lbs... Heavy, but works. I've seen a 10 degree drop in traffic. Now pegged at 220 vs. 230 in stop and go, 20-30 minutes. Driving in open air 190. I'll bend up some alu after the holiday for the the license plate mount. My new plate is "WICKED7" I might be able to tie it into a small front splitter. I've given up on the front wing. Since adding the rear diffuser, the car is pretty well balanced. Over 100, throttle off wiggle and oversteer gone. Not sure if it's the diffuser, or closing up the tranny tunnel at the engine bay or the new steering bushings. Too many changes. But, car is solid and confidence high. Best regards, A -
Love your work. Car is amazing--color! Hold on. Welcome to the hyper club.

I scored a really cool UK license plate for front. Just wondering how the Caterham and Westfield boys mount their plates. The Caterhams seem to be mounted nose-direct. Also, anyone have a photo of the CSR and superlight nose vent shroud--under the nose. I was wondering if anything helps direct air north. Sitting in traffic I see the heat pouring out of my nose vent, but driving I do not think it's effective, even with the flap. Thanks. Anyone in Harrisburg PA area up for a ride?

Latest. Rear diffuser and decklid really helped the tornado and drag effect at 100. much more stable. Not sure about downforce given my strakes are a bit too high. Pusher fan, nose vent and lots of insulation added to help with hot feet. So far so good. New front brake pads and steering rack bushings really helped build confidence. Car is now more than nuts. 0-60 in the 2.2 range and 100 in about 5.5 (old gtech) though now with 2K miles, my rear drag radials need to be replaced.

I love the photos.. My two favorite cars.. Great shots.

Damn.. What an amazing car! 1000 BPH per ton? Holy smokes. I am at 619 and it is quicker than I am. Roll cage protection a must. You will probably need r-compounds on the street. More photos please!

Looks like a great little track there. Gears sound tight, like a rifle bolt. Nice. Next time, more sideways..
-
It made 419 bph and 405 ft lbs. So roughly 475-490 flywheel. Yes. I cut the hood. The nose had to be raised a little, but hood still hits the front of the intake manifold. Once I take the manifold sound insulation cover off, it should fit better. I like being able to simply pull the hood and leave the nose alone. Also, when front splitter installed, there's no way to open a one-piece.

4th/last try. Not sure why my PM or post aren't working. BS 4.5? Rub issues? I need a little more in rear. BFG drag radials amazing, but shut off instantly and without warning. 2k miles. Need more. I've not had time to install my rear diffuser or front splitter, yet.. Love your car and posts. an Inspiration. Today was an amazing day. After boring day work, took car for a run to clear mind, ran into a ZR1 with a good driver. I smoked him in 3rd (not instantly, after 4 good mountain turns) but then had issues under braking.. After the fourth or fifth heated entry, fronts got slick, like front brakes were no more.. Thankfully the other guy was cool and didn't rear me. Sparkle Blue ZR1 on Limkin road. Awesome car. ZR1 is nuts.. So, I need to work on cooling under 45mph, and now brake fade. Car is nuts. Close to 500 bph flywheel and 1600lbs.. Like a sport bike. But, any time under 45mph the heat jumps from 205 to 230...

What size wheels and tires for track. They look like Summit Racing 15x10? I was thinking of picking up a set but was concerned about clearance in front with 275/35's
-
Good luck. Car looks amazing. You should take orders..

Loving the V8 sevens! The torque is more than enough. The only place that would initially insure me was progressive online. You have to get state minimums and not bother with collision or replacement value. After 6 months, it was easy to add to my normal company as a "transfer current coverage."

http://www.flickr.com/photos/88668757@N08/8669152571/ Funny. All the HS Kids in Poquoson, Hampton, and Newport News have now seen this.. Nuts. The kid that works at the tuner shop showed me on his phone. Crazy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/88668757@N08/8669154741/ Nothing like a 3 fill up weekend driving.. not fixing! http://www.flickr.com/photos/88668757@N08/8669154783/ Couple Dyno Runs http://www.flickr.com/photos/88668757@N08/8669154665/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/88668757@N08/8670259386/

59 british pounds. I just picked up a hot cam and some other goodies, valve springs, push rods, road race dif, axles, seats, mirrors, fron cycle wing mounts and some bed liner on the leading edge of rear fenders. Oh, and some more rustoleum enamel on the chipped areas. Hope to get the girl back on the road in 1-2 weeks, esp now with the weather. It's a Texas Speed 231/236 cam. With tune it should be good for 60-80 Bph increase. One of the guys on the camaro net has one and reports the power delivery just as smooth as stock (none of the variable valve timing mess or huge bump at 4k) so "should" be just as easy to drive, less the low rev loading on trailer and parking lot.

Thanks. Your car looks awesome!

EbayUK. They were $204 for the pair shipped. Like 59lbs each. Moss and others in the here in the U.S. offer them for $110-150 range.
