  1. Old Yeller! That's a great idea. I think I'll take my cat in to be computer color coded, then have my Smart painted. Hopefully it will turn out like this: http://www.smartcar-skins.com/assets/images/SkinzTigerBlg.jpg
  2. Could be! http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d72/Atjoer/JoyI.jpg
  3. OK, one last one, Sun Fusion on the FJ Cruiser: http://www.toyota.com/img/vehicles/2009/fjcruiser/gallery/full/2008_fj_cruiser_2.jpg
  4. Tonka Truck yellow!!! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2351/2434516474_86905127e5.jpg (just kidding, but I'm out of ideas)
  5. Hummer yellow? http://www.hummerguy.net/wp-content/YellowHummerH2.jpg
  6. Mellow Yellow from a Mini?
  7. I should have mentioned that the Birkin Owners group on Yahoo has a tremendous amount of information dating back to 2000. Check it out!
  8. I've been told the Birkin rear axle is off a Toyota Hiluxe microvan available in S. Africa and Japan, but not in N. America. When my rear axle leaked, Woody Harris (former US Birkin importer) used a Napa seal to fix the leak. The Napa part number is 11585. It has not leaked since! (almost 4 years now)
  9. I think I mentioned Corvette yellow in another thread, and I agree totally. It has a nice saturation. So Skip, if that is the color that Gert chooses, you can have the all expenses paid trip and 8 hour drive since I live close to him anyway! I get to tag along in my Birkin though.
  10. That is one happy car!
  11. Well, I've been driving my Mini E for one month now. I love it! I've given lots of rides and the first thing everybody notices is how quiet the car is. It hasn't been without problems though. I've been blogging about the experience if you are interested: http://web.me.com/soareyes/Stans_Mini_E
  12. Yes, it was a Westfield after all.
  13. An older Eleven replica on Ebay, possibly an original Westfield kit, may go fairly cheap: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-Eleven-1964-LOTUS-ELEVEN-TRIBUTE_W0QQitemZ280345036036QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4145ddc504&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318#ht_10814wt_1538 http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/11321190/aview/1242140425796_DSC_0618.JPG
  14. I've owned two Birkins plus driven a Caterham SV that had a supercharged Zetec, so that makes three. I've had rides in several other Birkins and Caterhams, plus a Stalker and a Locost on tours and at track events. However, I had never driven a Seven till the day I bought my first Birkin!
  15. I bought them here in the US on ebay from someone who had an extra set. This was about 3 - 4 years ago. Stan
  16. Yes, they fit well. I bought a new set that didn't have the poppers installed yet, and did them myself so they match up with the Birkin studs.
  17. Oh, it happened alright http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/soareyes/DSCN3413.jpg
  18. I remember entering the Motorweek drawing in 1991 for a Maxton. I loved watching the build on the show, especially when Pat Goss and the others got tipsy off the glue when they were carpeting the interior. This car looks to be in great shape.
  19. Mondo, I had been considering the Aptera too. Here's a photo for those who haven't seen it: http://energyethos.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/apteraelectricvehicle.jpg However, last fall I sent in an application to lease one of the 500 all-electric Mini E's that BMW has built for a field study. I've been tentatively accepted to lease one of the cars, but it has been a slow process and I still need to pass an electrical inspection of my house. I'll know for sure in a month or two! http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/jalopnik/2008/12/MINI-E_First-Drive_Top.jpg
  20. A few of us got out today for a blat in S. California, 280 miles round trip for me. 3 Birkins, 2 Caterhams, and a Locost: http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/soareyes/DSCN3628.jpg
  21. Your picture: http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu326/Hotdognz/7s at Akaroa/7sAkaroa17.jpg Reminded me of one I took from my Birkin on the USA2005 tour: http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/soareyes/DSCN2041.jpg Half a world away! Of course, we were driving on the correct side of the road
  22. 9 out of 19 fail
  23. Gert's Birkin SUV: http://home.earthlink.net/~slomove/id12.html
  24. I climb over them unless I have the half-hood top on.
  25. Maybe Dave Kirk from Montana?
