  1. Now all we have to do is have car trials like they do in England. Now that is a crazy sport. Russ
  2. Great to see another trials rider on here. I am 60 yrs old and have been riding trials since 1974. Currently riding a GasGas. Great to have you aboard this crazy group . Check out Kinetic Motors in Oregon for Se7en stuff. Russ
  3. I figure 10-12 tops. It will take the better part of an hour to get all of us across. Assuming there ain't no damn tourists. Russ
  4. Here is a video of the Peel's Ferry that we will take one day during our gathering. Russ
  5. Several of you on this forum have expressed interest in having an event in the Ozarks so now here's your chance. These roads are great down here. Tight "S" curves and even tighter hair-pins. Our ears were popping from the elevation changes. We even saw a wild elk out in a field. This is a very popular area for motorcycles so you know the roads are great. And with the chance for our own private autocross what more could you ask for. So come on down (or up or over) for this event. Russ
  6. This is why the British version is so funny. Russ http://www.wimp.com/reliantrobin/

  13. Try Dave Bean and BAT. Russ
  14. Mine is RHD (British made Locost). The cool factor is there but drive-up windows, mail boxes, pulling out of parallel parking places, and passing cars on the highway are a challenge. Luckily I only have 58 hp so I don't get to pass a lot of cars on the highway. Russ
  15. Fastg I have heard all kinds of horror stories about PVC pipe being used for air on the woodworkers forums I frequent. It is not rated for that much air pressure and any oil that comes out of the compressor might react with the PVC. Just my $.02 worth. Russ
  16. No, but be sure to put a drip leg on each verticle run with a drain valve to drain out the moisture occasionally. I ran all mine in copper but I would think galvanized would be OK. Don't run it in black iron pipe. Also don't hard pipe to the compressor. It vibrates too much. Run a short flexible line to it. Russ
  17. Cool. I need to show this to my son. The future engineer! Russ
  18. I just installed a Petronix electronic ignition in my 1300cc xflow that is in my Locost. I have been having problems with rough running, back firing, and marginal performance. All of which I blamed on my Holley 2V carb. I went out to test drive it after timing it and all I can say is………………………… OMG!!!!! What a difference it has made. I have a bad feeling I might be getting a speeding ticket the way it is running. I’ll know more tomorrow after going for a longer blat. Russ

  21. lancylad, Can you have Megajolt set up for one type of motor (Ford) and down the road put it on another motor (Suzuki GTi)? Is Megajolt sold in the USA? I know would need a new trigger wheel. Kitcat, Pegasus has that Petronix but is anybody else cheaper? Tks Russ
  22. I have a Ford 1300cc xflow with a points ignition and a FoMoCo dizzy that I want to put electronic ignition in this winter. Any suggestion on brand and a cheap place to purchase said device in the States. Russ ps: the 1300cc uses the same ignition parts as the 1600cc
