Slight Snag with the NRG or any wheel button unit I have a MoMo Mod 260mm wheel with no center hole, the unit needs a 48mm mounting hole for the electronics so: I have to figure out the center of the wheel I am using the 3 mounting holes as the basis. To find the centroid of any triangle, construct line segments from the vertices of the interior angles of the triangle to the midpoints of their opposite sides. These line segments are the medians. Their intersection is the centroid. OK got that bit after looking at 3 Youtube videos (Should of paid attention in school) And hopefully within that area I have room for for a 48mm hole Jeff What wheel are you using

Points taken I guess bifocals may work but as Croc said the positioning is important. on the site they have a few people offering suggestions one being having oversize lenses and using the extensions they offer. LOL Add Plaid pants, Hawaiian shirt, black socks, white shoes, buy a Cadillac and move to Miami Beach with my oversize lenses Obviously I cant try before I buy so it is a shot in the dark. The main issue with the glasses I cram in between the helmet and my ears is not so much fogging but smearing from body oils It was suggested using straight legs on the glasses will help putting them on (another option I guess) and try to keep them away from touching my eyebrows. I tried the anti fog and RainX but the smearing is oils not water and did not help at all. As for contacts they just do not work for me tried them and had to have my kid get one out of my eye fricking hated them...... lasik?

I have a hard time wearing glasses inside my full face helmet they are a real pain trying to get them on and off. And then the smearing or fogging on the track is annoying and dangerous. I have been looking for an alternative and came across this company in Germany https://iride-og.webshopapp.com/de/ The concept seems sound but having custom lens made to fit could be an expensive undertaking. They seem to be a generic shape seen here and assuming they only need to be single vision any (opticians on the site)? https://iride-og.webshopapp.com/de/i-ride-vxc-spacer-16-mm-copy.html I have reached out to the company with a few questions one being the cost of the lenses made in Germany. Any thoughts?

As I have sprung for the NRG wheel buttons all the switches on my dash are not needed (5 were never connected anyway as I have a Superlight) I would love to be able to afforded a new Carbon dash and reconfigure it without the switches but as I am now on a strict budget I was wondering how difficult it would be to make one out of CF using the original as a template Anyone attempted this? And if it is an option how the hell do you get the original one off in one piece.

Pair of these for sale new mounted but decided I did not like the look I added some weather stripping to the mounting flange $40 the pair https://www.carbuilder.com/us/straight-twin-round-lamp-housing-black

The M unit looks like a great upgrade and that is definitely under consideration after your write up but I don't have the funds so... I did however spring for a wheel control upgrade, and after looking at Cartek and Summit Raptor (both were a little pricy) I came across a NRG product at Vivid Racing that would seem to cover all the bases at a much lower cost over the other two, (with $20 coupon came out to 340 bucks) https://www.vividracing.com/index.php?keywords=NRG+8+Channel+Wires+Controller+Unit The Relays are mechanical opposed to solid State as in the Raptor Pro (not sure what the cartek specs are) but I do not see that as an issue. In addition does not look like it comes with the button stickers again not a deal breaker as the price is close to 50% less that the alternative This unit fits a 6 hole wheel so I called NRG tech at NRG and they said this should fit a MoMo 3 hole wheel if not I guess a i need to get out the drill.

Not overly exciting but a 7 on the track at Sebring
Brightonuk replied to Brightonuk's topic in Seven Videos
It was his first time on the track so that part was for his benefit The mirror came with the car (since been bolted on as opposed to glued) https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/advcat.asp?CategoryID=MIRROR8X2 Not the cheapest place to but gear they do stock a good selection of racing gear -
However does show how much faster a Caterham is to a Toyo Spider

Man wish I had come across this site before.. I rewired the whole dash with weatherpacks due to my OCD every time I took the scuttle off and saw the spaghetti of jumbled wires. At the time I thought the Weaterpacks were kinda clunky and big (I wired each circuit to it's own plug), now looking at these I could of used there wire to board Series and made it much neater. So now the next project is to rewire the whole thing again using this option https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=622 (That OCD is nagging at me again)

Thanks ended up swapping them out for weatherpacks it is what I used for most other connections I replaced

Sorry I should clarify: "Secret Money" is the term (I use) to describe the 65% of what it actually cost part, you ordered from Caterham, shipped to the US, and paid custom import duty for. Economics of scale?
