  10. Is there anything you haven't driven/done/ country you havent been to??? Is LM002 genuinely enough of an experience to want to own or is this something that looks good in someones elses driveway to admire from a distance?
  11. Here is some information from the Guru @croc in 2021 that could be useful
  12. Caterham mention at 11:45 or so Fun "fact" It appears Caterham has more room in the pedal box than LM002
  13. Believe me peoples eyes will glaze over well before you get to a prisoner quirk and have to explain what that is. Usually I lose them around when I have to explain that it's technically a Lotus but not, because production was sold overnight in 73 to a dealership in a town called Caterham and original creator wasn't interested in it but others liked it...
  14. Carbon everything!
  15. Either way for what it’s worth I’m very happy with the look and with doing the swap. current biggest problem is making sure everything stays tight after more street testing and finding a good way to secure the Carbon fiber headlight buckets hopefully without drilling. It’s a work in progress. I rarely drive at night and the headlight covers keep everything together in meantime
  16. Yeah it should just slide and lock. That trim is a gigantic pita to install as well. I'm still not happy with it but it's good enough. You can see it doesn't truly follow the contour. More heat gun and relief cuts would be necessary.
  17. Just took a pic of what I can see
  18. My pods due to being LED were just two wire. Don't remember what this all involved but I remember it being annoying. I think one ground was to ground and other power was going into headlight bucket to meet other wires there. Don't remember having any issues with the metal tab. Definitely didn't enlarge any holes
  19. Blinker pods need to be cut at the back to adjust for these mounts. Some OEM comes with the cutout. Some aftermarket don't. I cut my CF ones.
  20. One word of concern is that historic often comes with limitations either by registry or insurance company (such as not allowed to daily drive, drive to work or use for chores and miles limit). Your results will very depending where you are and who you use. Just a word of caution.
  21. That blog post is extremely useful and what I used. I do remember some finagling with the wires to figure out what's what. 3 to the beam. 1 if extra if it had a parking lamp. Struggle I had was having blinker pods on as day lights without main headlight being on. On top of that since headlights have a DRL beam that also had to be connected to same power source. I did utilize the headlight as part of blinker where DRL turns amber, I left that feature off. Seemed redundant with pods. If I wanted to not use pods, it's a perfect feature I have some pictures but it's hard to tell at what part of the process they were taken. Power probe made things ALOT easier
  22. With the other "entertainment" thread dead time to go back to regularly scheduled programming. I think I've crossed the line and gone too far.. got a new lanyard for my work. It's actually VERY well made which is surprising. Heavy metals, CF accents and good silky material Unfortunately the Mrs can't take me seriously anymore, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make
  23. Posting articles and anecdotes now. I'm one away from a Bingo!
  24. It's funny you say that. Way too often the "people in power" when it comes to apologize, say "I'm sorry if you were offended" or the like. .... That's not an apology for what you've done/said and I think your guy's discussion is at the core of the issue. There are people who don't think they should apologize for anything they do or say if the negative intent wasn't there and there are people who don't care what the intent was if it hurt/offended them. Which is kind of where we are with the thread and Bruce. At first he said he shouldn't apologize for anything he says because his intent was good. Then he changed the tune (I dont think he ever apologized for anything?) and relented that he should compare Croc to somebody else (I don't think a different person was given) Then without a hint of irony he became offended at my compliment when my intent was to compliment and not hurt. So he tried to have his cake and eat it too.
  25. Just dropped it off at a rebuilt place. About $140 for a rebuild of the original. I was impressed because the guy instantly knew what motor it was from upon seeing it.
