Can't thank you guys enough. It's been two years for me now and I'm itching to see the next weak point in my 7.... -
To Wrap or not to Wrap that is the question.
Vovchandr replied to Frankie's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Wrapped mine. Not sure if there was a noticable difference. One of the worst upgrades I've ever done from implementation point if view. Would never do it again unless header was already off. Too far too long in too constrained area with getting fiberglass and metal cuts throughout. Might be different on a Duratec. -
This is a stretch but can increase the utility of the gallery Is there a way to have photos tagged with users and have those photos shop up under your profile? Same way as facebook or even instagram. Once others tag you it's very easy for you to view all those photos that you're in under your profile without having to search for it anywhere and that makes it very convenient. I know I can "@XXX" somebody in the comments on the photo but that doesn't lead to a tagged gallery of any sorts under my profile.

2022 Brand new Unused Caterham 7 360 R for sale - NO LONGER FOR SALE
Vovchandr replied to Arahant's topic in Cars For Sale
As a New Yorker with a 2001 titled Caterham who can't get his car inspected do whatever you can to not be considered a "2022" or whatever the year. Any car less than 25 years old will need to pass OBD2 in NY. There are some exceptions but usually you'll get a new VIN and titled assigned for it, looping back to the fact that don't get it titles as a Caterham here to begin with. I'm only 2 years away from being grandfathered in to avoid OBD2 inspections -

It's a nice "condo" type unit on the track. I've tried all so far. Hotel in Fairfield or nearby. VIP (hotel/motel) suit on the front straight of thunderbolt and Villa. Villa is definitely the premium experience but the costs reflect that. If not for the family I'd be very unlikely to be booking villas or even camping in the trailer but with family it justifies the expense. Rough ball park prices a night Fairfield/nearby town is $150 to $200 VIP on the track about $220 (two beds option) Villa $300 to $400 a night (two bedroom option) It's also worth considering where our track day is each year. VIP booking when we are on thunderbolt is very very convenient. You walk back and forth. VIP when we are lighting? Much less so as you still have to drive there and back. -
Very friendly. It's the next best thing to having your own garage at the track! Depends on what the guide is. If it's just prep and good hints that's one thing. If it's actual directions that's a whole another thing.

This must have been during my only spin/off in all the years going. Don't recall being part of a clowder. In my recollection I was reprimanded for not pitting after to get a once over. I didn't get off the track during that lap and might have forgotten to do so during the next. @BlakeJ witnessed my other close call early in the morning on the wet track.

Chores are always done. Car is in winter limbo. Can't see if it overheats before I get the new alternator tested and have enough voltage going around the car for it to get warm. Keeping you guys on your toes in the brief leisure moments of time.

Sounds bout right. I was excited about the track day and have everybody in the thread kudos who put it on or booked it

Clearly I'm itching for not being at an event in a few years now. I love overthinking things and over planning things and track days provide a very good opportunity to do so. It's a family trip and mechanical prep all combined into one. Track days are an expensive commitment of time and money and I hate the though of something preventable ruining the experience. I remember one year running around asking for a 22mm? Specific socket to help take off a fairing stay. Not fun. Some of my top lessons and tools in no particular order Trailer to the track instead of driving. Lodge on the track if possible Bring an 18v portable air pump Have a set of spare wheels/tires for track days. Bring a folding chair Bring a folding table Bring a pop-up if garages are not an option Bring a torque wrench Bring an 18v impact gun Bring a jack and jack stands Bring a generic portable mechanic tool set Bring extra fluids (oil, gas, coolant, brake fluid) Bring paper towels/absorbers for spills... Bring a volt meter/power probe Bring portable lights (helps with trailering too) I'll add more as I think of them.

Of course! However not sure we will get too many here from other members and most of them are likely already in the galleries. Probably worth posting a link to galleries here too to drive more people there to browse around. -

With another 7 day announced (thank you Mike and Tom!) it made me think about all the amazing pictures we have over the years from going to all these events. Many of them get buried in old threads, so here's your chance to share your favorite pics from those days in one dedicated thread. -
Nice looking unit. Pictures will definitely help with sale. Plans to list to the big online auctions if no buyers are found here?

VIlla booked. Downstairs part of same villa is still available too if anybody wants it. Des/Paul? Prices are a bit more expensive than last year for them but win some/lose some. -

What run group do you go into if your 7 has a history of working at the beginning of the event but changing it's mind before the end? -
