wcm ultralite rear diff fluid options (subaru forester rear)
Mondo replied to RGTorque's topic in General Tech
This Subaru site, among others, says STI after 04 were 3.90 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1112781 -
It may be that people were getting the cert and then just sitting on it (ensuring they have a number though the car might not be built that year). Doing the CHP first would ensure the car is ready for the cert and doesn't deny someone else who's car is ready... speaking from experience on the waiting an extra year in 2008.

This is one of the longer threads here... Got it, thanks.

threaded bolts vs shouldered bolts? pics?

Looks like he wants about 20 grand... seems like a great deal. New drivetrain, low miles... noticed Brian put some smaller discs in back so brake bias is probably not an issue to be fixed. Would make a great xmas gift

Next up; smaller fuel pump and tiny ECU... wonder if he has a vehicle in mind for that motor?
-
Same thing, looked at engine for VIN etc... actually had such a hard time finding it (and loved the car) that he ended up taking my word for it (had receipts with me too).

Oh FFS! Simon Cowell has bought a Caterham
Mondo replied to Croc's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Now now... he's probably been on this site using an alias to get ideas. Saw Croc's car and had to have one. Probably pissed that he didn't get the new 620R though. Ok Simon, you can come out now. I'm sure you can tag along with some from the California Caterham Club... first timer buys lunch for everyone though;) . -
Thanks Loren, It's actually at the A/C shop right now... I think it needs a slightly larger compressor than what came with the relocation kit (at least I'll get a refund on the compressor). If I had more $$ I would of went with a front drop member suspension kit from Porterbuilt. Low truck with good clearance. But CPP is good stuff. I need to customize a swaybar though as the CPP one won't fit (think I have to make an end-link set up). The rear is stock with lowering springs (Early Classic has great stuff too). My next thing will be airbags for the rear so I can tow heavier things.

Thanks guys, Yeah, going for the clean look... like subtle mods that only people familiar with the truck will really notice; shaved front bumper (no carriage bolts or spot for license plate), turn-signals in headlights, no side marker/running lights, one-piece windows (miss the usefulness of vent window though), mid-70s corvette side mirrors, fuel tank in rear/cap in bed, hidden hitch... No getting around the fact that the modern drivetrain is awesome. Four cylinders shut down when cruising, over 300hp at the wheels stock, super quiet motor under the hood (nice mellow exhaust put on)... can get reliable, silly horsepower increases really cheap if wanted. .

Yeah, my daughter drove it her junior and senior year (little princess). It's been 5 years... got her an 05 mini cooper for college a couple years ago (can afford the gas to visit us). Now my son is 17. The truck has been under a cover for almost two years, until the upgrade. He's one of the new generation... more interested in computers and making movies than getting his license:( If this doesn't get him interested, nothing will. My daughter is going to school in Camarillo and there are autocrosses at the nearby airport. She wants to give it a try... so it's still in the genes. .

Packing the top on a Superformance S1
Mondo replied to dhubbard422's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Don't forget the sunscreen;) , -
I was the one who's in-board shock set-up tore a mount when hitting a raised manhole cover (don't know how I didn't see it). The main problem was the shock springs were set way too low and like John said the shock bottomed, became solid, and the mount was the weak link in the system and tore from the frame. I went back to the standard set up because the geometry of the inboard set up was not optimal as some things were in the way. It ended up created a twisting of one of the suspension parts. Not really surprising when your one of the "alpha" testers. Would of been cool though.

Proof of Cruise in newly rebuilt WCM S2K Ultralite

Nice. I gotta do that heim joint swap.. -
Nice solution, looks good! I swear I must be the least talented person on this board. I never would of attempted pounding out a dent... .

Sorry to see that... With any luck, there might be some guy on a mustang forum talking about how some blue car put a crease down the side of his car during a track day event and didn't have the courtesy to take responsibility;)

Don't let the perfect get in the way of the good. Your comparing apples to oranges. That's an issue of improper selection... what about those (the vast majority) that are properly selected. Your telling me you'd get on a plane with a guy on the no fly list because he might wrongfully be on the list. Not many of us would take that chance. Seriously, out of the millions that can purchase a gun, you're willing to let those relatively infinitesimal amount of people identified by the FBI as having possible terrorist connections purchase guns because one of them might be incorrectly on the list? Really? It's so important that this person be allowed "his right" to purchase a gun that it's worth jeopardizing innocent people's lives? I agree there should be a way to challenge being on the list but to ignore the list because of that is burying your head in the sand. .

What happens when you break down in the USA?
Mondo replied to Andy Green's topic in General Sevens Discussion
I think you can only get a tow up to 100 miles with AAA. Guess they figure you ought to be able to find a repair shop within that distance. -
need street/track alignment specs for wcm s2k
Mondo replied to Bruce K's topic in General Sevens Discussion
I know when we corner weight the car the drive is in it. am curious.. with the light weight of our cars (relatively speaking), should the driver be in the car for the alignment?
