Boy that brings back memories. I had one exactly like that, except the wheels. I also remember going up I5 sweating that if something broke I was in the middle of nowhere.. Did a complete redo on it. Rebuilt motor with sidedraft webers, new electrical, paint, interior etc.. I was finding it harder and harder to get it smogged (running out of guys that would "get it to pass"). Finally sold it to some guy who took it back with him to Japan. Posted pic here http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5640&highlight=europa

Don't know if this has already been brought up... saw it today With the increased visibility brought to enthusiast-secret Caterham via their Formula One team, it only makes sense to diversify the company's offerings. Though they've diverged from the Seven-only path a couple of times before -- with the limited-production 21 in the mid-'90s and the more recent SP/300.R, a track-only collaboration with Lola -- this time they're taking aim at higher-volume prey. The targets? The Porsche Boxster/Cayman and the Lotus Evora, both six-cylinder-powered mid-engined machines in the $50,000 to $100,000 price range. The method? Caterham's partnership with Renault. According to a report from Britain's Autocar, the mid-engined coupe will be priced about £40,000 (roughly $65,000). Structurally, it'll share much with Renault's reimagined version of the Alpine, a car beloved by Misato Katsuragi and rally drivers alike. A forced-induction four-banger will crank out segment-competitive power numbers and 0-60 times. Both paddle-actuated and three-pedal manual gearboxes will be available.

The 6th grade science teacher, Mrs. McNick, asked her class, "Which human body part increases to 10 times its size when stimulated?" No one answered until little Mary stood up, angry, and said, "You should not be asking 6th graders a question like that! I'm going to tell my parents, and they will go and tell the principal, who will then fire you!" With a sneer on her face, she then sat back down. Mrs. McNick ignored her and asked the question again, "Which body part increases to 10 times its size when stimulated?" Little Mary's mouth fell open; then she said to those around her, "Boy, is she gonna get in big trouble!" The teacher continued to ignore her and said to the class, "Anybody?" Finally, Billy stood up, looked around nervously, and said, "The body part that increases 10 times its size when stimulated is the pupil of the eye." Mrs. McNick said, "Very good, Billy," then turned to Mary and continued, "As for you, young lady, I have three things to say: (1) you have a dirty mind, (2) you didn't read your homework, and (3) one day you are going to be very, very disappointed."

Rikker, I was talking about this thread "too big to jail".. that I started. My point was that gun control, abortion etc... are controversial , but bankers laundering millions of dollars of drug cartel's and terrorist's money and then not being prosecuted is something we all should be pissed about. Guess I should of left that first part off. As Ayseven observed, it is one of those arguments that everyone has an opinion but changes few minds.
-
Actually, the topic was Bank Officials not being brought to justice because they say it would bring down the financial market...
-
I know gun control is controversial... but we all should be able to agree that this is wrong. http://current.com/shows/viewpoint/videos/matt-taibbi-on-hsbc-settlement-i-think-even-people-on-wall-street-were-blown-away-by-the-result/ http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/taibblog/outrageous-hsbc-settlement-proves-the-drug-war-is-a-joke-20121213

That DSN390 car that the synergy motor is in looks like a great body to go over a 7. http://www.hypercars.co.nz/gallery/

While no one here as said this, I find it funny that when something bad happens the same person will say "it's not the gun it's the person" and "it's the drugs not the person". My belief is that it's the person on both. If you want to shoot someone or have the personality that craves an altered state of mind, you'll find a way... regardless of the law against it. So I'm pretty open on owning guns (not magazines). Though I do think a backround check for all guns should be mandatory no matter where you buy it and I wouldn't decriminalize crack, heroin etc.. Guess I'm not a total libertarian.

Your much more likely to run into the back of a stoned driver (going too slow)... never heard of a guy high on pot racing around town, running red lights etc... Just stay away from all night fast food joints and you should be fine. .

Back in '77, I was your typical Air Force Wingnut that was into high fidelity. Had the 10in reel to reel, where I recorded my brand new albums (and rarely played them on the phonograph to keep them prestine). I had some trick tower Infiniti speakers and this bitchin 400/4000 - amp/pre-amp set up: http://www.phaselinearhistory.stereomanuals.com/4000preamp.htm http://www.phaselinearhistory.stereomanuals.com/400seriesamp.htm http://www.bobbyshred.com/infinity/QLS.html Oh, to be young, single, and without a care... .

Thanks Busa, Lots of things stuffed in that engine bay...

Man, I spent over a hour going thru that site. Cool stuff

Glad to see your finally getting to enjoy the car. Funny, I made a big deal about getting that machined dash after seeing yours... if only someone would of told me about the unbearable glare when the sun is low and behind (if you don't have polarized glasses on). Will cover mine too at some point (thinking of that faux carbon fiber).

Nice! Like to see more pics of the engine bay

A couple of my favorite things... I'd have to drive back up to the top and switch

And now for something completely different

People's car passions never stop amazing me... Though he, and many others, would probably make negative comments about our cars .
