i like how they say 1.8t vw motor is a cousin to audi 1.8t, its the same motor. also Cosworth tune to 250hp ? audi tt came with that motor. stock was 225 hp and with a chip could be at 260-75 dont see why u would need Cosworth to do anything. o and i wont register just to see pics... pardon the rant.

i think im still far from chasing your times. the turbo will make the rear kick more, and the slicks will hide more mistakes. i called scca and asked regarding fenders and was told that since its a mod class i would be fine as long as im good for my weight. being that my fenders are aluminum i would say they are only 2-3lb or so each. i think that this season i would like to take an evo school and next season expand to track days. im just not comfortable enough with high speeds in my own car as of yet. also, i just registered for carlisle. i spoke with steve and we are planning on meeting to drive together. what are your plans?

yea i did not think about the dmod thing when i went for the tubro. i really wanted some way to quiet the exhaust down and i dont have room to put a nice formal muffler. also i would lve to have a bit more power on the street as this is where the car spends more of its life. for the 4/26 autox i will still be running in dmod. im not sure if my springs will hold the slicks and im also not sure if new front fender backets will be ready. i can legally run fenderless though... may do it later in the season with turbo ill be in e-mod but ill still be chaisng your times Tom.

i am / have been using a wvo blend for about 80k between 2 cars. we get soy/canola oil from local food joints and run through the following process: pour into 3micron sock filter and let gravity drain into 50gal drum pump into second 3micron sock filter and let gravity drain into 50gal drum pump 40-45gal into mobile car with 50gal drum add 5-10gal of k2 kerosene or diesel to make 50gal use 2 inline electric pumps to pull the fuel through a final 1 micron cartridge filter and cartridge water block and into the car i vary the 5-10 gallons of diesel/kero depending on the weather. in the summer i run less in winter i run more. this is a system ive used for 3 years now and is run ALL year. i run no special filters in the car, no second tank, no silly gauges or controls. just my original car as it came from the factory (plus power mods hehe). 2003 jetta wagon tdi with power mods she is running about 160-180hp and 360-385 tq depending on fuel blend (90hp/150tq stock). http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/529/cimg1894wj3bq7.jpg

sorry, ive been missing some races. the last autox i was working. we had a big event (h20 international @ ocean downs in MD) and this past weekend was my sisters wedding. i will be making it out to the next event (boing i think) weather permitting.

tom your lucky. i have not hada chance to take the 7 out in a few weeks. perhaps i should take my pedal head deflector off and get the leather jacket out.
