  1. Note that if your Se7en is not at the event and you paid for the event you can still drive your rental Mustang or whatever up Pikes Peak with the group. When we get a little closer we can pick a day and time to meet for a Se7ens breakfast or lunch.
  2. Have a look at your fuses as well as the relays.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing the Zenos up close and personal.
  4. Paul, We will be parking our Se7ens with the real Sevens but other than that nothing special is planned for our group. How many USA7s members are planning on attending? Somewhere along the line we should all get together for lunch or one of the planned drives. The Four Corners is overrated IMHO. A small monument and a bunch of touristy trap booths selling Indian artifacts mostly made in China. :jester: There are many more things to do without driving out to the middle of nowhere. Highway 550 from Durango to Silverton is one of the great roads in the country and is in that area. Skip
  5. If that front tire really has only 862 miles on it, all those miles must have been on a track at speed. The car is listed as a 1989 model, has the Sigma engine been around that long? I thought it was a fairly recent engine. I looked it up on Wiki and the Sigma engine was introduced in 1995. Maybe the car was not assembled until the Sigma was available.

  7. The mysteries of the Model T planetary transmission revealed. Those three pedals on the floor are not what you might think they are for.
  8. That looks like fun. Could be an ATV wheelchair to get handicapped people off road.
  9. The ones I have heard about occurred at high rpm speed shifts.
  10. I guess you have to decide what your legs are worth to you. Sort of like buying a cheap helmet. Check to see if the clutch and disk you have has the SPI approved label on them or on the box. Otherwise check into a scattershield blanket.
  11. There used to be but I haven't checked for a long time. Try Jegs and the other race part suppliers.
  12. Yikes, you were close to serious disaster Kitcat. Have you ever seen the results of clutch/flywheel explosion? I saw a '56 Chevy that happened to in the '60s. It looked like a bomb went off in the car. Driver lost both legs. Get an SPI rated clutch and flywheel if you plan on rpm in excess of 6k or install a scattershield.
  13. I asked Bruce some years ago and he didn't know her at that time.
  14. Here's some pictures from my sister who lives on Bonaire. Lets see what you wags can come up for this. http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii584/scannon929/Goats/P1040268_zpsqtwamltk.jpg http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii584/scannon929/Goats/P1040270_zpsgasxwmbb.jpg http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii584/scannon929/Goats/P1040269_zpsmggiodqc.jpg
  15. 90 so far, it is different from a pardon. They still have a record and will be on parole for some period of time. The first thing he has done that I agree with. http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/13/politics/obama-commutes-sentences-drug-offenders/
  16. At the Woody Creek track near Aspen they call those Safety Boulders, they kept you from getting even further off the track. Its the only track I've run on that has a deer flag to let you know one or more deer are grazing in the infield.

    Be Safe

The man who created the plastic pink flamingo passed away last month. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2015/06/23/416819751/man-who-created-the-pink-plastic-lawn-flamingo-dies http://media.npr.org/assets/img/2015/06/23/featherstone-eb448020be8069ee0db20b6f740cae1daee3a99d-s1100-c85.jpg

    Be Safe

Folks, be aware of this. Lawn flamingos may seem kitschy and adorable, but they can pick a T-Rex clean in under 90 seconds at this time of year. Be careful. Use a trusted anti-flamingo spray before venturing outdoors. Let’s be safe out there.
  19. IMHO, I don't think the Alfa 4C can compete with the rest of them. If that Camaro is the top of the line factory track car then I think it belongs.
  20. This year will be the second LOG in Colorado. There was one in Las Vegas a few years back as well.
  21. None of those locations are "central" except to people living on the eastern seaboard. How about something in Colorado? We have some nice mountain roads out here and tracks to play on.
  22. But the fish eyes pop out and become bugeyes when you need the lights. Good aero for the track. I think the rear fenders look similar to those on the Lotus 7 S4 which I have grown to like after following one on a Lotus club trip last year. The orange one parked next to my blue Caterham in this picture. Edit: Once again I am unable to link a picture to this forum. See if this will work. I agree about needing a lift to get in over those side walls/sills or whatever you want to call them.
  23. Monster Motorsports put 5.0 Ford engines in their Miatas. If I owned this car I would consider having Flyin Miata stuff an LSx in it or at least a turbo system.
  24. Its not in Dennis Ortenburger's book "Lotus Seven & the Independents". http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1507-throwback-thursday-the-1996-mazdaspeed-ms-007/ http://image.automobilemag.com/f/127365983+w620+h413+q80+re0+cr1+ar0+st0/mazdaspeed-ms007-concept-front-end.jpg http://image.automobilemag.com/f/127366007+w660+h440+q80+cr1+ar0/mazdaspeed-ms007-concept-front-three-quarters.jpg http://image.automobilemag.com/f/127366016+w660+h440+q80+cr1+ar0/mazdaspeed-ms007-concept-rear-three-quarters.jpg http://image.automobilemag.com/f/127365758+w660+h440+q80+cr1+ar0/mazdaspeed-ms007-concept-interior.jpg
  25. Some track and/or race sanctioning bodies require two throttle return springs on the linkage. Or maybe the PO liked a stiffer than normal feel for the throttle.
