  1. It’s an agm. I was going to go with lithium to replace the banner tractor battery but my importer put in the agm. Which works great so far. sorry link was in there but not obvious https://a.co/d/9O5wvHK
  2. I had a similar issue with my battery terminal covers not fitting the new smaller battery. I got these on Amazon and they worked great. Didn’t need to even trim them. before I thought I took an after photo but can’t find it. But they now fit snuggly over terminals. https://a.co/d/9O5wvHK
  3. Lights received. Hope to install this weekend. Many thanks @das76 lights look great!!
  4. I ordered mine and am eagerly awaiting delivery. Hopefully in the next couple of days. Will update the group when I install.
  5. I think most folks just run the subs back to the rear bulk head. They come out between the seat bottom and back. You are kind of sitting on them. This was my plan but the importer and the Schroth folks didn’t love the idea. So my importer found an upholsterer who modified the squab with a cut out. Works great. You can always source another seat squab if you want to run with and without. I think it was a couple hundred bucks.
  6. Greg posted this one in its own thread. Linking here
  7. I think they used to recert belts but don’t do it anymore. Not sure if there is a grandfather clause. When I got my Schroth ones I asked about recert and they said they don’t do it anymore. Have to buy new ones. (But this is coming from the people who are selling them to me). It was hms so that’s as official Schroth as I can imagine.
  8. Look who is on USA7. Welcome welcome (Its Charlie BTW).
  9. A dice-roll is always welcome before I shame myself on the track.
  10. As you likely already know. I am running the Schroth profii II asm belts. Dated and has the ability to run in 4pt configuration with the asm tech. https://www.hmsmotorsport.com/item/profi-ii-asm/fia-4-point I was going to get the grey belts but they didn’t have the 2029 expiry available at the time I ordered. I did get the pads that cover the yellow stitching and tags (but as @Croc pointed out I can’t run those with a Han’s). But I’m not switching them in and out. my car also has clip in on all 6pts which I actually may change the shoulder to be bolt in. But as it stands right now you could pull the current harness in 30sec. Just unclip. With the yellow tags showing
  11. I just ordered this from @das76
  12. I had the same issue with the yellow Schroth stitching and tagging. They do offer pads in a couple different color combos. I asked if they would throw the pads in after I ordered two full harness and lots of hardware. (They said no). but I do like the pads and the color (matches the grey stripe on the car and rollbar). https://www.hmsmotorsport.com/item/competition-harness-pads-(3inch)/accessories-harnesses
  13. I like your fueling solutions. Something about not being able to use the last couple of gallons bugs me more than it should. Love the hydramat. Maybe a long term project so that I can use the fuel that's in the tank. Thanks for the inspiration. Your 3d printing and obsession with finishes is appreciated here.
  14. In looking at your photo of footwell. It looks like your brake pedal is bent towards the accelerator pedal. Not sure if that is stock or if someone adjusted for better heal toe. How is the spacing for you between brake and clutch? Do you just reduce the bend in the brake pedal? I haven’t looked closely at my pedals to see how they are configured (it’s an sv so I don’t struggle with pedal spacing as much). Although it did take some practice and smaller shoes not to hit brake and gas at the same time.
  15. It still works. Not sure for how long.
  16. My rudimentary attempt at documenting the weekend. I erased some footage as I figured out how to upload and edit. Much like the mechanics itself, lots of learning being done on all fronts.
  17. The algorithm has you pegged.
  18. I am also shopping for one. I think originally they were only designed for 2” shoulder straps. They now accept the 3” straps although I believe some are specifically designed for 2” and some for 3”. When I got my Schroth harness they said the 3” were compatible with hans. the mounting location also effects it. Some cars have the harness mounted too far apart in the shoulders to get the belts to seat correctly on the hans. I think my caterham 420 has additional mounting holes that are closer together but I haven’t taken the boot cover off to check. Personally I think I am going with a Simpson hybrid sport so the interaction with the should straps is less critical. I have a call into Simpson with some questions. One of which is the certification. They have the option for fia over the standard sfi (for $69 addt) dollars. It doesn’t seem to make a difference for the track (at least njmp). But not sure if the fia gives you more time or the ability to recertify vs the standard sfi rating. I also noticed on the Simpson hybrid - the fia cert doesn’t allow you to have SAS (loops that attach to you lap belts) while the sfi does. Will update when I get answers to that. https://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/products/head_and_neck_restraints/hybrid/hybrid_sport/parts/HSMED11M61FIA I was also looking at the Schroth SHR flex. Much less expensive and since it’s the same brand as my harness no issues there. Can work with a variety of seat angles. And it has higher shoulder harness retainers. https://www.schrothracing.com/item/shr-flex/devices

  20. Does the Han’s need sfi 38.1 or fia certification ?
  21. I just drove thru some pretty heavy rain Sunday with half hood and doors. Pretty much stayed dry. Some blowing rain. soft bits makes a storm cap (like shower cap) that is specifically designed for towing. just watch the sizing and where your mirrors are etc when ordering https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/slr-storm-cap-1032-p.asp
  22. Yes. A national treasure.
  23. Nice to meet you @CarlB Sorry I almost scratched your new rear bumper in turn 7.
  24. I am planning on getting one before Sept. likely go with a Simpson hybrid so I don’t have to worry as much about the interaction with the harness. I wonder if the track shop would ever consider some type of rental situation. But I guess that would open up some form of liability that they likely won’t want to take on. Hate to see the rule deter anyone from joining.
