  1. I believe soft bits does half doors. Haven’t seen or used them so can’t weigh in on quality or figment. People have been happy with their other products. https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/half-doors-479-p.asp
  2. I went with the dpr mirrors. the non carbon ones were £45 a piece. Greg at time machines had a few of the car covers https://parts.dpr-motorsport.com/contents/en-uk/d24.html#p85 not sure if they have any more in stock.
  3. Looks good. Good luck with the build. Admin can confirm but I think if you save the photos as jpg’s they will be directly viewable in the thread vs having to download them.
  4. I’m starting to think “catkong” is a mythical beast that doesn’t really exist.
  5. Wait. We aren’t supposed to obsessively overthink every little aspect of these cars and throw needless amounts of money to solve the littlest things. Well I have been going about this all wrong.
  6. 7 ish https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2014-palatov-d2-4/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2024-03-23
  7. This was from 10 years ago. I am waiting on Greg to weigh in and see what markings are on my car (it’s still with him upstate) https://www.ffcars.com/threads/nys-registration-process.221630/page-2?nested_view=1&sortby=oldest
  8. I know there is another Facebook group for sevens. Defer to others on any insights on them. But they also have an owners map with some more folks in that neck of the woods. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftinyurl.com%2Fsx6tcnc%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0sP7nUfjLjl-zK70HwBuVD_hsiAiXtMUxWiBzhlTood5RL2NqmiAtBZrs&h=AT1F2sWLUr9OhNoyTxvdiZnIJ8DkIi3F0Ff_1_jal3K0OModir0v6wEHT_qJ7Nlc2z_-kqCxYsZG59rm7dDoskSU2ALX3yb8YkSlhRcYpXVXePa80xWXVkrM3o2L&s=1&__wblt=1
  9. Very interested in this one as I am a couple weeks behind you in the process with New York. Just sent in my mv272.1 for a field inspection appointment.
  10. Where did you (or Josh) source those half doors ?
  11. I like the one up one down. For the goonies fans
  12. I beleive you need to get a VIN assigned to get the insurance. I am currently on that step of the process.
  13. It seems like he based that opinion on a rhd he drove in the uk. His follow up he seems to have soften on his critique.
  14. @Croc I spoke to an owner the other day in your neck of the woods (New Jersey)Who is actually moving back to the UK and is putting his csr 260 up for sale. I’m sure it will surface here when he does.
  15. I just requested all my dot and sae numbers for my car from time machines. Will confirm what I get back.
  16. My understanding is that to get the vin in ny you need to fill out the vs100 form. Which calls for 4 photos of the vehicle (left, right, front and back). Mocked up bumpers and sun shades need to be added for photos. Not sure if the future inspections look at defroster or padded dash. I haven’t heard the padded dash being an issue. (Maybe since it has 4 point belts solves that along with airbag - you can’t ever get your head that far forward. greg or Rick at Time Machine could likely give you better insights. I am starting the registration process in the coming days/weeks. Will keep you updated

Well done. Look forward to some drives when my car gets finished.
  19. While I don't have the space to build my 420 and Greg is doing all the work, I have been looking at other resources on the topic. Some good info, defer to others whom have gone thru it on pros and cons https://purplemeanie.co.uk/index.php/2018/07/01/caterham-420r-build-tools-and-trinkets/ https://caterham420detailedbuildblog.co.uk/category/preparation/ https://310build.com/caterham-build-tools/ https://team420rbuild.com/garage-preparations-2/ https://www.caterham7diaries.com/420r/categories/pre-build
  20. Maybe a two piece solution. One for cables and one for terminal https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/dorman-help-battery-terminal-guard-assortment-60300/22145738-p?clickid=0GLy%3AmVSbxyPRlH31SVPc3b6UkH31OyX8RrEzY0&irgwc=1&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=ir&utm_campaign=121977&utm_content=994801&c3ch=Affiliate&c3nid=IR-121977
  21. No personal experience but it seems like those covers are just for shipping not while connected. Very well could be wrong. https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1?q=banner+star+power+battery+terminal.covers&client=safari&sca_esv=39cb00dd45544bc1&hl=en-us&biw=339&bih=648&tbs=vw:l&prmd=ivsn&sxsrf=ACQVn0-xfzdK3zlt_43ziaJ42AVJd9JzwA:1708752385816&prds=num:1,of:1,eto:2233244991333324067_0,prmr:1,pid:2233244991333324067,cs:1 https://www.bannerbatterien.com/en/Products/Starter-Batteries/Starting-Bull/74-530-30
